CONSTRUCTION METHOD
1.0 INTRODUCTION
Construction Methods is one of the technical requirements primarily to serve as guide and reference
on how to approach the construction operations of every item of works of the project.
2.0 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF CONTRACT WORKS
The work of this project consists of DEMOLITION, SITE PREPARATION, EARTHWORKS, CONCRETE
WORKS, FORMWORKS, MASONRY AND PLASTERING WORKS, REINFORCING WORKS, FENESTRATION
WORKS, TILE WORKS, CARPENTRY WORKS, PLUMBING WORKS, ELECTRICAL WORKS, PAINTING
WORKS, FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM/ AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM, AND WATER PROOFING.
3.0 CONSTRUCTION METHODS AND PROCEDURES
3.1 Methodology or General Approach
After the contract is awarded, the agency will issue to the contractor the Notice to
Commence, so as to start the project, mobilize all equipment, materials and personnel
needed for the project. Construct temporary bunk house, bodega and field office. Then
install informative billboards to a place visible to the public. Proceed with the survey work
for the whole stretch of the project and do staking and showing the specific profile of the
elevations of each earthworks activity.
Starts at the Construction of Three (3) Storey Building Extension before the Renovation
of Admin Building Ground Floor. Initiate the proper procurement of materials to be
delivered such as the correct specifications and all works shall be in accordance with the
plans and specifications and all construction activity must be done with the presence of the
Implementing Office Project Supervisor or its representative.
Safety measures must be implemented strictly to avoid accident.
3.2 Program of Work
Progress bar chart with S-curve of activities in the contract works.
3.3 Financial Program
Cash Flow and payment schedule, provision for working capital, schedule of receipts are
scheduled weekly.
