I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Shalene Baratta. I have had the pleasure of
working with Shalene at Bancroft Elementary School for the last two years. I whole-heartedly
believe that she would be an excellent candidate for any teaching position.

Shalene has built an exceptionally positive and productive classroom environment for her students.
Her strong classroom management skills always provide clear expectations during lessons and
transitions. Students are treated with kindness and fairness in all situations. With the changing
population of students in the Omaha area, Shalene has accommodated and adapted curriculum to
meet the needs of all learners. She is always willing to try new strategies and activities with her
classes to ensure the success of her students.

With the ever-advancing technology in education, Shalene is enthusiastic with trying new things.
She has several years of experience using one-to-one technology with her classes. Along with
developing this great resource for her students, Shalene has worked hard to help other staff
members utilize new and existing technology in the building. She is a team player and always a
positive influence on those around her.

There have been countless situations that I have witnessed in which Shalene has gone above and
beyond for her students and co-workers. As a new teacher in the building, I received nothing but
support and influential advice from her. She is a teacher that supports her team, provides resources
that she has created on her own time, and offers help in any other way she can. The dedication to
her profession is what keeps her relationships with co-workers, students and families strong. She is
extremely well-liked and respected by the Bancroft community.

Without a doubt, Shalene Baratta is an invaluable asset to Bancroft Elementary. Any school or
district would be incredibly lucky to have her as a part of the staff. If you have any further
