Playing Futsal

I've been playing futsal for 8 years now. So for those who do not know what
futsal is, it is just an indoor sport of football. I know that for my height and my body
its seems like I'm not qualified to play this kind of sport. But I think this sport was
really meant for me. Unlike any other sport, futsal does not require that the players
should be tall, big, have big hands, or whatsoever. This sport has no standards and
qualifications everyone is allowed to or has the chance to try and experience this
sport, as long as you have the heart, dedication, and passion to play it.

Futsal helped me in different aspects of my being may it be physical,


mental, and social wellness. It helped me become physically healthy and fit. It
also helped me to be conscious especially in what I eat and also it helped me
improve my cardiovascular health. Because of my height and my body, this sport
taught me that I should be strong, flexible, and fast in order to compete with my
opponents and will not be left behind. In terms of mental health, this sport is my
stress reliever. When I get to play futsal it's like all my problems, worries, doubts,
stress, and everything else that bothers me disappear. Playing this sport is really
therapeutic and happiness is indescribable. Aside from that, this sport really took
part in guiding me on how to deal and handle my emotions well. Also, this sport
helped me fostered good relationships with other people. I get to interact with
different kinds of people and be able to meet new and true friends and gain a
new family. Because of this sport, I was given the opportunity and privilege to
represent different kinds of futsal clubs, schools, places and cities especially our
region, Caraga. I've also been able to travel to different places in the Philippines
in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to play this sport. I can really say that this sport
changed my life, it made me appreciate myself more and gave me a sense of
belongingness. It also gave me life-changing and unforgettable experiences that
I will forever cherish. Reminiscing my experiences before until now, this sport really
guided me to become better not just as a player, but as a person.
Engaging in Adventure and
Outdoor Activities

Since I was young, I was already a sucker for adventure. I like to explore
and try new things. I have this attitude that I want to go beyond my limits and
because of this, I've already done so many things that you can't imagine. My
recent adventure was in Danasan Eco Park where I tried almost all their rides and
outdoor activities. I've tried wall climbing, zipline, horseback riding, ATV, and
many more. The most exciting and challenging activities that I've done in the park
were sky drop and wakeboarding. It was challenging for me and tested my
capabilities especially when I tried wakeboarding. I was proud of myself because
I never hesitated to try it and in the end, I felt very happy and had a sense of
achievement because I made it. Based on my experiences, I can say that
indulging yourself in adventure and outdoor activities is beneficial and is good for
oneself. Aside from it helps me to be healthy and physically fit it helped me to
become more resilient. It also made me conquer my fears and my doubts and
helped me in developing my character. I realized that I shouldn't stop myself from
trying new things because it is where you will learn and realize that you can do
something that you thought you cannot. For me, having to try adventures and
outdoor activities gives me a feeling of satisfaction and made me embrace what
capabilities I have and will have. But most of all it made me appreciate how
beautiful nature is and its wonders. That whenever I get to try some of the outdoor
activities there is like a connection between me and nature, a great feeling and
a kind of inner peace that is incomparable.
Playing guitar

I've learned to play the guitar since I was in grade 7. The thing that urged
me to learn how to play this kind of instrument was my love for music. At first, I
thought that I couldn't learn it because from what I've seen playing the guitar is
hard and also of the fact that I have very cute and small fingers, but as the saying
goes you'll never know something unless you try it. The time when I already know
how to play the guitar I felt a different kind of satisfaction and joy not because I
already knew how to play it but because I felt that I was never alone. In times
when I'm down and in pain I prefer to play my guitar or even when I'm happy
because whenever this happens I feel at peace and forget all the things that
make me sad or that bothers me. Even in times when I'm stressed out and
struggling especially when studying at home, I tend to have a break, play my
guitar and strum all the stress away. Learning how to play it made me realize a
lot of things, that it is not only good for the mind but also for the soul. It gives you
a kind of peace and happiness that cannot be compared. It takes away all your
sadness, worries, stress, or anything that bothers you and makes you feel relaxed
and happy. It also helps you in expressing how you feel and how you deal with
your emotions. For me the guitar is not just a thing or an instrument, it is my
accompany.
