We have done a preliminary review on the School type design CSEB one story 2C submitted to
DoE. The comments below are to be discussed in our view:

1) Please confirm the soil type chosen for foundation is consistent( Soft or Medium).

2) Please make codal/standards reference as NBC as far as possible consistently in the designs.

3) The steel used are light gauged or other type please try to mentioned it clearly.

4) Justify the poisson's ratio for steel is chosen as 0.18.

5) Please provide the CSEB(Compressed stabilized earth brick) properties as infill wall panels
with tests and codal references.

6) Please justify the wind velocity taken as 50 m/s instead it should be 47 or 55 as per NBC.

7) Please discuss with us regarding the roller and hinge support at frame, practically there will be
always fixed or hinged support.

8) In your design there are steel member big enough which generally not included in truss
design. Some are rarely available in market. You are invited to discuss with us on this regards.

9) please furnish the detail dimensions for weld size, nuts & bolts, and so on as per NBC 111
with supporting structural calculations.
