Job Title: Associate Data Scientist

Role – Consumer Behavior Scientist

We are looking for exceptionally talented & self-starter individuals for our Chennai and Mumbai locations.

Founded in 2006, Pristine is a perpetual start-up. We are headquartered in Burlington, MA, with Predictive
Data Science and Software Engineering Labs in Chennai and Mumbai. Pristine’s Merchandising &
Marketing Recommendation Engines assist large Retailers in their transformation towards Personalized
Retailing. Consumer Behavior Research is the foundation of our solutions. Developing pioneering
predictive approaches and high impact recommendation engines is our specialty. Our Predictive and
Prescriptive Recommendations encompass Pricing, Promotions, Assortment, Product Placement,
Personalized Offers and Home Delivery. Daily, Pristine’s analytics platform receives and learns from over
30 million new Sales transactions, representing 35 million+ households.

At Pristine, a Consumer Behavior Scientist is an Imaginative and Detail Oriented Business Analyst, an
expert in Advanced Machine Learning, and an Enterprise Software/Database Engineer.

The responsibilities will be:

 Carrying out deep applied research in Consumer Purchase Behavior and Retail Business with
Original Thinking, Rigor, Speed and Persistence.
 Developing production grade predictive models and prescriptive recommendation engines in the
area of Consumer Behavior, Merchandising and Marketing.
 Collaborating with Customers, Retail Business Experts and Solution Engineers for well-
coordinated and high-quality solution release.
 Developing Pragmatic yet Pioneering Machine Learning and Deep Learning approaches to
continually enhance the value of our solutions to the Retail and CPG companies.
 Exploring and implementing advanced Machine Learning/Deep Learning/AI based techniques to
develop actionable insights and recommendations.

Qualification: BTech/BE and MTech/ME/MS in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering,

Operation Research, Mathematics & Statistics, Humanities, Management and Machine Learning/Artificial
Intelligence (PhD a plus). Courses in Economics/Liberal Arts preferred. Familiarity with Behavioral
Economics is a definite plus.
