PRJECT TITLE: A PROJECT ON DESIGN, PLANNING AND COST

ESTIMATION OF A NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING

OVERVIEW:
Tharparkar is a backward and remote area of Pakistan. People there are very poor and less
educated, therefore they are not able to get a decent job in a reputed company, and there is also
lack of sources in Tharparkar that’s why people are only dependant on their fields. So, if it rains
then they plough their fields and live happily rest of the year. But sometimes it doesn’t rain and
they feel hopeless. In this year it rained too much and most of the people lost their houses. A
new housing project is being introduced to provide shelter and accommodation. First of all
there will be introduction of housing system for only one village. If this comes out to be good
one, then same housing system will be provided to all villages in Tharparkar desert.
All the affected families will be offered to work to build the houses if they wouldn’t have any
work to do at that time, and the head of each family will be getting special training in order to
support his/her family members in future.
