Call to Order
A weekly meeting of the Joint Legislative Session was held on July 25, 2019 at the SSC
Office. It began at 1:51 PM and was presided by Hon. Calvin Dhame Lagahit, with Hon. Fritz
Noreen Cabahug as the acting secretary.

Minutes:
1.) COMMITTEE UPDATES
i. Committee on Support:
● Completed the first financial help with the mother of Lapinid.
ii. Committee on Information:
● Delegated the SSC accounts.
iii. Committee on External Affairs:
● Completed the arrangements of six (6) concessionaires for the SSC Awareness.
● Completed the floor plan.
● Completed the payment for the UNESCO Re-accreditation.
● The Globe proposal will be held next week.
● Meeting will be held on August 5 to coordinate with GAD’s activities.
iv. Committee on Grievances:
● Prepared the Grievance Form for the SSC Awareness.
v. Committee on Environmental Affairs:
● Modifying the Be the Bottle basket ring (adding of zipper).
vi. Committee on Ways and Means:
● Layout for the aircon will be made once it is purchased.
vii. Committee on Budget and Finance:
● No updates.

2.) ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTS

i. Hon. Lagahit confirmed that everyone was making their accomplishment report.
 3.) 3RD READING OF EC CONSTITUTION
i. Hon. Borinaga discussed the changes in the EC Constitution Article 8, intended to
clarify the names of the standing committees.

4.) REVISION OF THE IYD RESOLUTION

i. Hon. Lagahit introduced the new theme for IYD which was Transforming Education.

5.) DISCUSSION OF THE THEME FOR THE ACQUAINTANCE PARTY

i. The following were the suggestions of the theme for the acquaintance party 2019:
● Street theme
● Denim
● Coachella
● Pen Party
● Retro
● Kpop
● Cosplay
● Spooky theme

6.) OTHER MATTERS

i. Hon. Yaun suggested to have Hon. Aguinod to be the one to check the evaluation form
made by other senators for a specific event.
