many of us have already
begun shopping for our
kids and loved ones,
maybe even ourselves. We
remember counting the
days and hours until the
morning we could unwrap
the various gifts under the
tree, and then spend the
rest of the day playing
with the toys or riding our
bikes. But how about the
thousands of kids in our
own neighborhoods that
know that there will be no
such Christmas? The cur-
rent economy has placed
many El Pasoans in tough
times where toys are luxu-
ries.
Coming to the rescue are
your friendly neighbor-

store it inside during the
winter the next step is to
find a place to do so. De-
pending on where you live
you may know of an auto
storage facility or garage
in your area which stores
bikes for a period of time.
This is a good option as
long as it is a secure facil-
ity and the price is right.
Work on the Motorcycle
Prior to Storage
Depending if you are stor-
ing your bike inside or
outside, there are a few
things you may need to do
in order to prepare the mo-
torcycle for storage. Items
such as making sure your
engine oil is clean, check-
ing the fuel delivery sys-
tems and protecting the
various components of the
motorcycle from rusting if
need be are all important
things to consider doing.
The level of winterizing
will depend on the storage
area, climate in which you
live and desire of the mo-
torcycle owner to do so.

Wash, Wax and Polish
It is also a good idea to
give your motorcycle one
last thorough cleaning
prior to storing it for the
wintertime. In addition to

that music leaves pleasant
effects on its listener. If we
accept this point as true
then question arises why

them. Regardless of these
‘relative' definitions of

new one, you need to
know what sort of noise it
produces. If it's producing
a bad noise, it surely will
switch off soon. That's
what makes ‘a little
knowledge' more ‘danger-
ous' thing. You need not
understand all the motor-
cycle manufacturing tech-
niques to make your
motorcycle work for you
properly, but there are
some points regarding mo-
torcycle exhaust system
that are necessary to know
for every motorcycle rider.
A machine works properly
if all of its parts are on
their specific places. Con-
sider the example of
sewing machine. If we re-
move its sewing needle
from its body, it won't sew
any more. Motorcycle too
is a machine. If all its parts
are not at their right place,
it won't work for you any-
more. Motorcycle Ex-
hausts are of two types. If
you want your vehicle

need to know what func-
tions these two types per-
form. Each and every
vehicle has its noise. This
noise comes from engine
because there are different
chemicals reacting to-
gether and thus producing
hot gases. These gases are
emitted in the air by a
muffler. This is how a mo-
torcycle exhaust system
act. Though motorcycle
stock exhausts have a lim-
ited range of producing
noise but aftermarket ex-
hausts have a variety of
producing noise and are
manufactured keeping in
mind the customers'
choice.

some tips that you can fol-
low if you're preparing an
upcoming group motorcy-
cle ride.
Plan Your Route
You can't have a success-
ful ride if you don't know
where you're going or you
don't have any type of
route mapped out that
identifies all of the roads
that you will be taking.
It's important that you
have a detailed plan for
your ride so you have the
most organized experience
possible. A good idea is to
have one of the riders map
the ride out prior to the ac-
tual event and then drive
the route to make sure that
all of the roads are naviga-
ble. This will ensure that
there are no surprises or
unexpected situations on
the trip.
Know Who Is Going
When you plan a group
motorcycle ride you'll
want to know exactly who
is going on the ride so you
can account for them
throughout the entire trip.
This way you can help
plan accommodations if
any are needed and also
plan on how you will keep
everyone together during
the ride. If you have a
small group it is easier to
stick together, but if you
have a large group of rid-
ers, then you might have
to consider having stop-
ping points along the way
that will allow for re-
grouping. Make sure all of
your members are ac-
counted for when you first

Maintaining safe driving is
critical on group rides not
only for the fact that there
are large numbers of riders
