Interviewer: What is your idea about Barkada Kontra Droga?

Student 1 What I know about BKD is that it encourages students like us to be
useful and safe against drugs.

Student 2 The BKD aims to have many role models for young people in this
generation as many young people today are trapped and diverted.

Student 3 BKD has the intention to sue for illegal drugs and its effects on
youth.

Student 4 The BKD aims to influence youth of today because a lot of them
are in the wrong path which leads to the usage of illegal drugs

Student 5 BKD is the cornerstone of projects and activities against drugs

Student 6 The BKD is for the betterment of the school.

Student 7 BKD aims to help the student avoid the use of Drugs. It helps
students express their feelings and help them decide on them.

Student 8 The BKD promotes a healthy, drug-free school.

Interviewer: What are the purposes and aims of the Barkada Kontra Droga?

Interviewee Responses
Student 1 BKD promotes the knowledge that students need to know in order
to be able to use their weapons when they are in a situation.

Student 2 BKD is a platform for us to showcase our capabilities and talents


as a student through alternative programs such as Arts and Crafts,
Music and Dance.
Student 3 BKD has a purpose for us to develop self-confidence as well as
initiative in situations that will be addressed in the future related to
drugs.
Student 4 Through BKD, we build effective relationships not only with our
peers and classmates but also outside the four corners of the
room such as non-subject teacher, BKD officers and staff and
even with our community.

Student 5 BKD has the objective of making the school 100% drug-free.

Student 6 The BKD has a purpose of bringing students into the right path,
providing series of activities to ensure righteousness among the
minds of the youth.

Student 7 BKD has a desire to educate us on our decisions in the future


related to drugs.

Student 8 The BKD aims to be a drug-free school.

Interviewer: Do you think the school is the best place to be updated about the Barkada
Kontra Droga? If yes or no discuss further.

Interviewee Responses
Student 1 Yes. Because these students are located in the school and
nowadays they are more targeted by other addicts who use drugs.

Student 2 Yes. School should be the site of drug awareness. Because the
resources are found in the school. In schools it also teaches the
bad effects of drugs like MAPEH.
Student 3 Yes. The schools in the Philippines are advocating to protect our
students from the influences of people who use illegal drugs.

Student 4 Yes. The school provides activities like arts and crafts, cookery,
etc. to distract students from illegal drugs and lead them to the
right path

Student 5 Yes. Because many drug users have schools.

Student 6 Yes. The school is the best place because it gives protection and
instils knowledge about the illegal drugs’ effects.

Student 7 Yes. Because the victim of drug abuse is very young.

Student 8 Yes. Because school advocacies are like drug awareness and
education.

Alternative programs of BKD


Preliminary Question
Interviewer: Do you believe barkada kontra droga alternative program can prevent
student from illegal drugs? Discuss further.
Interviewee Responses
Student 1 Yes. Since students like us are in 21st century students, we are
more likely to join them when their program has a twist. We had
our enjoyment of dancing and at the same time still learning.
Student 2 Yes. Alternative programs such as anti-drug dance, anti-drug
music and so on are distracting the attention of my fellow
students that instead of using illicit drugs, they just focus
themselves on talents.
Student 3 Yes. Because through the alternative programs our students'
talents are enhanced by dancing or singing.

Student 4 Yes. As what I say a while ago, the school provides activities like
arts and crafts, cookery, etc. to distract students from illegal
drugs and lead them to the right path

Student 5 Yes. Because we are unleashing the abilities of my fellow


students.

Student 6 Yes. This program will give ideas and will enable students to
nurture their potentials as talented individuals.

Student 7 Yes. Because we know millennial can do a lot

Student 1 Yes. Because helping me with BKD also has an impact on me as
I develop my skills as a student.

Student 2 Yes. Helping BKD will pave the way for me to overcome my self-
confidence.

Student 3 Yes. Because by helping and participating in BKD I can


participate in their various activities.

Student 4 Yes. Because if I help in BKD, I will be able to promote drug


awareness to my co-students.

Student 5 Yes. Because I can participate in BKD, I also have a good


knowledge of the ill-effects of drugs.

Student 6 Yes. As what I said, this program will give ideas and will enable

Interviewer: As the newly elected of president of your organization in this institution, are
you aware of what are the activities of Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) conducted on your
school?

Student 1 Yes. We all known that barkada kontra droga is promoting
awareness against about this issue of drugs. So as a student I
can help by joining this group and disseminating information for
them to be aware on what they are going to have if they going to
commit at this kind of activity.

Student 2 Yes. We know that BKD has cooperation in local sectors such as
PDEA and POPCOM. So we just depend on their programs.

Student 3 Yes po. Even though we are different organizations, we still work
together. The sense of leadership among the president is even
more built.
Student 4 Yes. Because of the awareness, I and my team could help with
the BKD as long as we are needed. Camaraderie is established
as well.

Interviewer: As a student of this institution, do you agree in including barkada kontra
droga in your lessons? Please elaborate.

Interviewee Actual Responses


Student 1 Yes. Because the students nowadays it is easy to get used to
drugs so it is important that they do not lose drug awareness in
school.
Student 2 Yes. The lessons about drug awareness about the chemicals that
are in drugs are teaching students as well as the reasons why
low performance of drug addicted students.
Student 3 Yes. When teaching drug awareness in schools, students
become more alert in their learning.

Student 4 Yes. Because if there is no integration of drug information in the


lessons, students will tend to have poor academic performance.

Student 5 Yes. Because the lessons learned in the lessons can be applied
to real-life.

Student 6 Yes. This is because it is fun to mix drug awareness with other
subjects like math but can be.

Student 7 Yes. Our students will always remember you as we were taught
over and over again.

Student 8 Yes. Because it is fun when lessons in drug awareness are being
mixed with the ordinary subjects.

Interviewer: Do you know that drugs can affect school performance? If yes or no,

Student 1 Yes. Because drugs lose their concentration and focus when they
are in class.

Student 2 Yes. Because we are addicted to drugs, the result is that we are
less optimistic because we are more likely to use illegal drugs.

Student 3 Yes. Because when we are addicted to drugs, we are more prone
to mental disorders like depression and hallucinations.

Student 4 Yes. Because their physical health is in-danger.

Student 5 Yes. Because they will lose the focus of their education.

Student 6 Yes. It's because they have a lot to think about when they're in
school.

Student 7 Yes. Because when they are at school or they are registered,
they are looking for drugs

Interviewer: As a school officer, are you in favor for the stake holders of the
community to be involved In Barkada kontra droga?

Student 1 Yes. Because we give our community awareness of ill-effects of
drugs

Student 2 Yes. It is better if the community and school have a partnership to


provide communication with the school activities.

Student 3 Yes. Since the implementation of the BKD school program has
been suspended, we can also join the community to help young
people not use illicit drugs and to be role models to other youth in
the community.

Student 4 Yes. BKD will have a healthy relationship with the community,
communication will be effective and implementation will be more
effective because there is unity.
Student 5 Yes, the school and stakeholder association are happy to deal
with, they give additional skills to us leader to lead the school in
the info dissemination about illegal drugs
Student 6 Yes, I believed as a leader of our school I am in favor that the
stakeholder will involve in the teamwork making awareness not to
be involved in illegal drugs.
Student 7 As a leader I really believe that the stakeholder will joined in the
mentoring of the illegal drugs to us student (DARE PNP), I love it
and I enjoyed a lot during the discussion.
Student 8 I believe being a leader full of capacity to lead because of what I
have experience from the stakeholder information dissemination,
skills on how to not involve in illegal drugs.
