Dear Taekwondo Family members,

We are very pleased to inform you that The 4th Heroes Taekwondo International
Championship 2018 will be held in this beautiful culture city, Bangkok Thailand on 30 June to 01 July
2018 to strengthen & harmony of world taekwondo lovers.

Our aim is to invite players from all around the world above 10+ countries. We hope it will
become an opportunity for Taekwondo athletes of all ages and cultures to gather in promoting
friendship and harmony, to improve the quality of life and health. The Organizing Committee will be
working hard to bring you great competition that ever be organized with exciting and cultural
experiences.

We have sent out invitations to clubs, association and Universities around the world
especially South East Asian such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, also we
have invited many countries from Asians: Hong Kong, Macau, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Oman, U.A.E,
Bangladesh, Jordan, Ukraine, Taiwan, China, Uzbekistan, Japan, with many friendship countries from
Australia, New Zealand, Latin America with including some of Africans and European region will be
participating in our competition event.

According to, moving forward to improve our Taekwondo sport. We will use the latest
Electronic Scoring System in category of Cadet, Junior and senior categories. During this competition
we will ensure high quality organization and competition with high level transparency, fair play &
impartiality for the athletes. This will be a great opportunities for our athletes to compete with
athletes from all around the world.
As for Thailand teams, we have invited state Taekwondo Associations and top Taekwondo
clubs in Thailand which are affiliated to Taekwondo Thailand to participate in this championship. The
Heroes Taekwondo will be honored to welcome you and your athletes.
We hope that you all will enjoy the Championship as well as a great stay in Bangkok,
Thailand. We are looking forward to receive your confirmation of participation for this event no later
than 10 June 2018.

5. PROTECTOR & SCORING SYSTEM (PSS):


Kpnp system is being used as the PSS. The Organizing Committee will provide KPnP PSS
system trunk protector. Each athletes must bring their own KPnP sensor socks and non –
electronic head gear.

8. WT Recognized Brands:
Participating contestants are required to wear WT recognized uniform and WT recognized
protective equipment
The latest version of WT-recognized manufactures list is available at the website of WT:

Athletes will not be permitted to compete with non-WTF approved equipment. Taping over
non-WT approved logos will not be permitted. The mouthpiece must be clear or white

9. Dress Code:
During the match, coaches shall wear either a neat tracksuit or a shirt, long pant or sport
team jacket to cover proper and polite. Please noted that during of the Head of Team
meeting, more information about the dress code shall be provided to the teams.

10. Indemnities:
The respective participants shall be responsible for ensuring that they validly completed and
agreed to the relevant declarations during registration, thus indemnifying the organizers and,
its officials and other contestants from any claims of injuries, losses, fatalities of otherwise
arising in the course of participation in this championships or any activities thereto.

11. Weigh – In:


The weigh-in of the athletes takes place the day prior to the start of the respective weight
category they complete in.
Each athlete shall have one (1) attempt to pass the weigh in. However, one (1) extra attempt
is allowed for those athletes who did not qualify the first time. This extra attempt shall be
done within the time limit of the official weigh-in.

12. Head of Team meeting & Drawing of lots:


The head of team meeting shall be conducted by THE HEROES TAEKWONDO official
organized. Exact location and time shall be communicated forthwith. The drawing shall be
shown on website and the Head of Team meeting will be on 29 June 2018 at the venue 18:00
O’clock For any changes we will be informed as soon as possible.

13. Visa:
A Visa to enter Thailand may be necessary. The Organizing Committee cannot guarantee
entry into Thailand and can only offer assistance. It is the responsibility of each athlete and
team to apply for and secure the correct entry visa.

17. Entry Fees / Deadlines:


The entry fees must be paid at the time of registration deadline, by Bank Transfer, Credit Card
or PayPal. Athletes shall not be allowed to complete without verified payment of entry fee to
the Organizing Committee

***Entry deadline is Wednesday 27 June 2018***


Entry submission after this date will not be accept under any circumstances. Late withdrawal
due to injury shall be handled case by case.
The registered athletes or team officials may be removed without any penalty until Wednesday 27 June 2018.

Entry fee must be paid in case of the cancellation of participating athletes last day on Friday 29 June 2018.

Kyorugi’s Competition Rules


1. Rules using for this competition will be based on the standard of Taekwondo Association of
Thailand.

2. Participant must prepare self-equipment. (Mouth guard, Chest guard, Arm guards, Leg guards,
etc.)

3. Elimination Rules is being used.

4. Holding the 3rd Place, 2nd Runner Up, by two contestants is NOT allowed.

5. Duration of Contest: 1½ minutes, 0.30 minute Break, 3 Rounds.

*** The duration of the contest could be re-arranged to suit the situation ***

6. All contestants should attend at least 15minutes before the competition start.

7. In case the participant does not show up at the registration, the participant will be called for 3
times within 3minutes before the competition start.

If the participant still does not show up after 1minute of the competition time, the participant will
be disqualified.
Poomsae
1. 3 Categories: Poomsae, Poomsae Pair Team, and Poomsae Team (3 person:team)
2. For Poomsae Pair Team and Poomsae Team, could be gender-mixed
3. Color belt: 1 round, Black belt / Poom belt: 2 rounds

Poomsae’s Competition Rules

1. Judging System: 3 referees Score-distribution: Accuracy 4 points and Presentation 6 points

2. Duration of Contest: 1.30minute

3. The winner is the one who got the highest accumulated score.

4. 3 Winners: arrange according to the final score, from the highest.

5. In case the total score is equal, presentation score will be used as the judging score.

6. In case the total score and presentation score is equal, there will be another competition to judge
with no previous score included.

The Disqualified Contestant

1. The contestant and/or coach who miss behave.

2. The contestant who does not show up on the court 1min after we announce the name.

3. The contestant whom we found disqualified before/during/after the competition.

Qualifications

1. Contestant from both national and international regions.

2. Must hold at least Yellow Belt.

3. Must participate under the name of institution/association/club/school.

4. Each contestant is allowed to register for only 1 group but is allowed for both Kyorugi and
Poomsae.

** In case there is time-conflict for the contestant who registered for both Kyorugi and Poomsae,
the contestant MUST choose to perform either Kyorugi or Poomsae only and inform to the
registration area that you will be back for participation in the match.

** In case there is an accident during either Kyorugi or Poomsae and the contestant cannot
perform the other competition, there will be NO refund. Unless you has inform to the registered
area and received the signature for approved

4. Accept all terms and conditions under the standard rules of Taekwondo Association and
is/are not under any punishment from the Taekwondo Association.

the payment, along on the competition day ***

1. Full body protection (In case of electronic chest guard (PSS), we will provide that for the
participants,
2. Head guard either red or blue only
3. Arm Guards and Leg Guards
4. Supporter (For male athlete)
5. Electronic Socks (For the contestant registered for PSS only)
6. The participants at the age of 13-14 years old, 15-17 years old and above 18 years old
will have to wear mouth guard
7. Extra or Optional equipment during competition
a. Leg and Arm guards (MUST be non-metal or plastic made)
b. Foot and Hand gears

Reminder:
Participants, Coach, and Referee

1. Each club can send members more than one team.


2. Each team can have coach no more than 3 person including: Team Manager, Coach, and
Coach Assistant. (Participant cannot act as a coach or assistant coach)
3. Only 1 Coach or Assistant is allowed on the competition area. (MUST be properly dressed-up,
NO slipper/flip-flop is allowed)
4. During the competition if participant or any member of the team misses behave or not
following the rule then the referee can disqualify the team member.
5. If the participant/coach/assistant miss behave, the organizing committee will have the right
to disqualify the team or make a punishment letter to the Taekwondo Association of Thailand.
6. Each team’s follower will receive a hard-colored (Blue or Red) score objection card during the
competition and will have to return afterward.
The team’s follower will have to raise the card in order to object the scoring made.
But still, the judgment will be based upon the referee’s discretion.

Protesting

1. The protesting right is with the team manager only.


2. The Protesting Form MUST be sent within 10mins after the competition with $500 USD fees,
the team will receive $500 USD back, if the team wins the protestant.
3. The referee’s judgment serves as the final decision.
4. If any team/member act against the decision made, the team will be disqualified from the
competition or will be informed to the Taekwondo Association of Thailand.
5. We DO NOT provide video recording equipment for any scoring issue but allow you to bring
your own if you wish.

Other
1. Food and/or Food preparation is strictly prohibited in the competition area. Please kindly use
the specific dining area we provided.
2. Non-contestant is strictly prohibited to be in the competition court. Audiences must be
sitting in the space we provided for the convenience.

INTERNATIONAL REFEREE
Please be informed that the IRs is responsible for his/her own roundtrip air fares and while expenses
for accommodations the organized will response for 10 International Referees who has signed up and
provide all the documents details.

The Organizing Committee will provide local transportation between the airport and the designated
Referee hotel, as well as per diem of $50 USD for national referees and $100 USD/day for WT –IR for
of competition. For your information the meeting is scheduled before dinner (17:00 hrs.) on 29 June
2018

For Information on Visa:

International Referees who wish to receive an invitation letter from the Organizing Committee are
requested to send following information to organizing committee full details: Name, Date of birth,
Passport number, Passport expiration date.

It is recommended to apply for visa immediately after receiving the invitation letter from the
Organizing Committee although most cases are solved within a few days, some cases may take up to 6
weeks.
