A Machine Learning Approach for Power Control, Nuclear waste

Prediction and Detection of Disparity in Nuclear Reactors.

Manual and consistent monitoring of nuclear reactors is censorious. The motion of

turbine generates electricity due to the steam produced by the nuclear fusion process.
Exposure to certain high levels of radiation leads to enormous nuclear waste
generation requiring proper disposal at regular intervals. The core reactor neutron flux
(product of neutron density and neutron velocity) is the part of the nuclear reactor that
enhances the nuclear reaction.

Based on the analysis of core reactor neutron flux, it is possible to derive useful
information for building detection systems. For accurate detection of disparities in the
process ,a CNN was enabled to unfold signals/vibrations into 2D images followed by
k-means clustering. Later a DAE ( Denoising Autoencoders ) using Keras to
reconstruct corrupted signals by signal filtering is performed. Given a training dataset
of corrupted data as input and true signal as output,a denoising autoencoder can
recover the hidden structure to generate clean process.

Nuclear waste prediction depends on so many factors and conditions that generate
them. Single Linear Regression analysis is applied to the factors produced to control
waste generation and dispose them properly. The power control mechanism and
sources can be devised accordingly for proper and effective energy generation.

A Naive Bayes-CNN model detects the cracks or flaws of the nuclear reactor without
manual intervention. A Naive Bayes Data Fusion Scheme aggregates the information
from each individual video frames for detection to enhance the overall performance.
The approach uses powerful graphical processing units to train the neural network
with appropriate datasets in which corrosion can also be detected.

The statistical technique such as weighted linear regression ,linear regression, support
vector machines are employed to build models for controlling the power of nuclear
reactors based on several features. An AI based system governs the control index by
calculation of fuzzy induction from the membership functions which are determined
in advance in accordance with the general reactor’s sense of action.

Based on the proper detection and prediction results, the nuclear reactors can be made
to function with minimum flaws resulting in effective mechanism of control rods,
appropriate energy consumption and reduction of hazardous nuclear wastes during
the entire process of electricity generation.
