 VEGGIE BURGER: ‘HEALTHY HAS NEVER BEEN THIS DELICIOUS’

The Veggie Burger is unlike typical burgers. This business offers a burger patty that does

not contain meat or any such kind of carnivorous recipe. Veggie Burger provides the availability

nutrients in its products since it is made entirely of vegetarian ingredients such us mushrooms,

corn, carrots, and potatoes as the patty with lettuce on top. The market needs a consumer that has

the desire for a certain product and service which gives specific benefits in terms of proper health

and diet. Students, vegetarians or vegans, as well as people who are looking for healthy alternatives

will get interested in this product. These types of consumers will engage in this food business since

it is a nutritious type of meal or snack, and the burgers are also budget friendly. The business will

be sold in a stall for the sale of this product. Located preferably at an area where most people pass

by, the business will certainly be accessible for the customers. This product will offer a healthier

alternative to burgers without the target market worrying about the calories, fats, and other

unhealthy additives added to meaty burgers. The Veggie Burger is composed of healthy vegetables

that are nutritious and contain low calories.

The chosen business belongs to a food stall industry. A temporary structure used to prepare

and sell to the public. This is situated in an area with large group of people passing by. Moreover,

the business can be operated by small independent owners. In the past years, food stalls, kiosks

and wagon remained a key trend in the field of food business. Since then, it is constantly growing,

evolving and being engaged in until today’s businesses. Furthermore, a rapid pace in terms of

market is being looked forward to. A small capital is needed to install this venture. Accessibility

and affordable food to offer is being highlighted in this industry.

 Business planning is indeed a tricky business. In pushing through with Veggie Burger,

there are several factors that should be considered when putting up this type of business such as

the competition, target market, wholesale value, the uniqueness and credibility of the product, and

a lot more. Setting up a business is not an overnight process but rather needs a systematic planning

before getting started. There should be a projection of the outcome of the business to avoid future

miscalculations that might result in fatal consequences for the product. Moreover, the demands of

 People who refrain from eating meaty foods will get interested in this type of

business. Those who also enjoy burgers will have a new and innovative choice of flavor

for their taste buds.

The target market will be students, vegetarians or vegans, and other people who

prefer to eat healthy and non-meaty burgers.

e. How, where and why are they buying those goods or services?

The business will have a burger outlet at an accessible location where people can

easily go to even through means of public transportation. The business will be advertised

online to get buyers and consumers who are interested in healthy burgers. Consumers are

interested in this kind of service since it offers affordable yet quality and nutritious foods

that are appealing to the consumers’ preferences. This innovative business is a whole new

venture for the current market.

In the environmental scanning, the members shared their own valuable insights and

finding after the said activity.

 Arguillon: An insight that I could consider while having the analysis of business

environment is, it helps us to identify the strengths and weaknesses, and the opportunities and

threats. I also learned that making a business plan before starting a business will allow us to make

best decisions keeping in mind the growth and success of the business. Writing this business plan

will teach us to be patient because it takes a lot of time to brainstorm on new ideas that will help

this business become successful. Developing patience while writing our business plan also forces

us to take our business ideas seriously. There is a lot to think about when writing a business plan

that will lead and teach us how to focus especially on our goal. If we set our minds the aim of

launching our business and once our business plan is complete, we will have a clear target towards

our goal and this will allow us to analyze future opportunities and avoid potential pitfalls along.

Together, we will learn more valuable skills along our paths which will benefit us towards our

future.

Aruta: Planning a business should be made systematically through a step by step process.

Through this research, the group is able to brainstorm an innovation that could, someday, change

the lives of the consumers in the target market. Through this performance task, I have learned that

there are several factors that will affect the business planning such as competition with other

markets and industries, availability of resources, and the accessibility of the location. The activity

has made it possible for the members to think outside the box and become contributors in the

society.

Estrella: The environment is the first factor to be considered in starting up the business,

environmental scanning is important for it supports the organization in the process of business.

Regarding the events, information and trends observed, this will serve as an assessment for future

strategies and techniques in the business. Identifying the strength, weakness and opportunities is
necessary for the growth and survival of the business enterprise. Decision-making is focused as

well while having the activity since the firm depends upon the precise decision ability. This will

analyze the best selection among the set of options for the success of the firm.

Labrador: Through this activity, we have researched, identified, learned, and understood

how other businesses run and how expertly crafted and built their establishments and business

plans are. I have learned and appreciated more the thoughts on how to create a business and how

ideas can be made possible and how many processes it takes to make your ideas come true.

Knowing that there is a science between how an establishment is placed, how the seating

arrangements are targeted to different masses, is truly amusing considering these target markets

subconsciously agree with the nature of the seating arrangements on establishments. Tiny details

like these can make me wonder how much effort and planning there is into making a business.

Mamon: This activity helps me to have a knowledge and understanding about business

that when we start a business is a good decision, however, it can also be stressful, challenging and

not as simple as it looks like. You need to think about what the product you are going to sell where

the place you’ve going to sell the product and who is interested in this product. We want to make

sure that we understand the industry well be involved in so we can dominate. No matter how

unique you might think your business idea is, you should be aware of competitors. Being

successful in Business is not easy, we need to be knowledgeable enough in planning our business

so that all of our efforts would be worth it at the end.
