NATIONALISM AND PATRIOTISM

My Feelings as a Filipino

I am so proud that I am a Filipino. As a Filipina, I love everything in

me, my skin color, my not so pointed nose and most of all my black hair.
I am grateful to be a Filipino I have a good character traits that most
Filipino have. I am friendly, respectful, obedient and most of all God-
fearing. I do believe that only Filipinos has this gestures of putting the
hand in the forehead and say “Mano po!” to honor elders, That’s one of
the reason I am proud to be a Filipino. Also, we are traditionally known for
being hospitable people for heart-warming generosity and friendliness
that is why most foreigners feel in love with Filipino women. We are also
optimistic because whatever problems comes our way we can still
manage to give a smile. And, I am proud to say that I love my country from
the bottom of my heart.

QUESTION:

A. How do you feel now for the country? Do you now feel a sense of pride
for our country knowing how “powerful” Filipinos are as people? How
would you show your love for our country? How much do you care about
our country?

ANSWER:

Nationalism for me is having a great feeling and pride being a

Filipino which is shown in patronizing native and Philippine-made
products. Personally, I feel proud of every Filipino who makes an
outstanding achievement in representing the country. Being I as a Filipino,
beam with pride wherever I go. I’m not ashamed to claim my true Filipino
blood. I believe that there’s so much to be proud being a Filipino. Manny
Pacquiao, Lea Salonga, Catriona Gray, Pia Wurtzbach, these are among
the many Filipinos who gave pride to us. I show patriotism through buying
Filipino products to show support to our local businessmen and
entrepreneurs.

With the long list of achievements of Filipinos in any field abroad, I

couldn’t help but be proud. My mother was once an Overseas Filipino
Worker. OFWs are our heroes. Despite their situation abroad, they do
their best to serve other people. The Philippines itself has tourists
destinations we should be proud of. I always dream visiting all these
wonders. With these overwhelming pride, I can show my love for her by
serving people to the best of my abilities. I will also preserve our culture
and tradition to the next generation, significantly to my nephew. I will also
help in promoting our rich tourist destinations through social media. I show
my care through being a responsible citizen, helping in the preservation
of our natural resources and nature itself.

Destinations countries because of our natural
wonders and tourists spots.

contribute to our economic status.

5. World Class Filipino artists Our singers and personalities really

stand out even in international
pageants.
6. Philippines is a Pageant Our Filipina beauty queens always
Powerhouse bring home the crown in many
international pageants.

7. Filipinos are respectful. We have a habit of putting our hands

in the forehead to honor elders and
asking their blessing.

8. Filipinos are courteous. We are known worldwide for being

polite. We made sure that they give
our visitors a warm welcome.
