Where the power source is offshore, two


grounding conductors are to be bonded to the
structure. Note (Grounding cables be different
lengths)

Earth / Ground loop impedance tests shall be


done on all earthing conductors within the lighting
and power circuits. A reading of one (1) ohm is
acceptable

Is electrical system fitted with GFI (Ground Fault


Interrupter), ECLD (Earth Current Leakage
Device)

General: Check distribution boards are clearly


marked

Check all bushings, glands and lock nuts are tight

Check installation using 500 volt megger on


lighting and power circuits. A reading of 0.5 meg
ohm or above 1.0 meg ohm for power is required

PAT test of all electrical tools

Check and confirm polarity on all lighting and


power circuits
