Shower of warmth, of shade

Care confluent, inchoate
Gift,
Unread, unwritten – yet
A patient ear
A listening look
Wherein galaxies glow
Indulgent, intrepid
Question that is its own answer,
Given unasked,
Unaskable
To you I bow,
(Through all)
As you step down, and out
Of the half mirror --
And come
To hold my hand
Across the open page
Of twilight
Half learnt, half turned,
For an eternal instant
Even as star kisses star
Across light-years
Easing the labours of enduring
An eternal instant

Elemental
