Description:

Enterprise Services and Data (ESD) is the store for Common Business Services. A CBS
service is a reusable, SOA component that provides a business solution. Middleware is
part of a three-tier architecture strategy. The first tier is either GUI or web based front-
end software. The middle tier contains the general service functions including Order,
Product and Customer account. The third tier is typically the legacy database software
and structures.
CBS is not directly accessed by end users; it is instead a service exposes an API to other
applications that may be accessed by end-user groups. Clients can use different
transports like CORBA, WMQ, Web Service or ESB to reach a CBS service. CBS services
designed around EJB architecture. Interface implemented as thin layer above EJB’s to
allow addition of new interfaces to existing services.

In addition to client application facing services, there are several other components
available as specified below on the CBS platform that acts as “building blocks” for
services:

Agents – allows services to access databases.

Caches - provide locally-hosted file-based cached responses for services.

Loaders – load data from external sources into data bases (typically via file feeds)

EDF’s – dump data from databases to send to external sources.

Archivers – archives old data from data bases based on specified condition.

Interfaces – an exposed entry point for client application to send or receive


response messages.

automated by the team are: Siebel RTM, XML Initiator, REAP, CCTool, FHT etc.

 Prepared Hand-off documents (Estimation Guidelines, Application Job Aid, QTP


Coding standards, Review check list, Test Script structure, Review Guidelines) for

Description:

The COBI Product Testing includes testing of different applications (REAP, CCTOOL and
FHT).

REAP (Registration Evolution Advancement Project): This is a web-based application.


Through this customer can able to register a DIAL up service online from BellSouth and
also it provides whole bunch of promos, bill plans and also multiple mailboxes (additional)
for customers.

CCTool (Customer Care Tool): It enables Bellsouth people to search for customer and
trace out customer’s information including Account Information, Billing Information, Email
information, Password Maintenance, Update Customer Info, verify BTN, Manage Call
tickets, Add a Call ticket, Changes in BillPlans, Modifying IPOC contact and etc.

Roles & Responsibilities:

 Deriving test scenarios from functional specifications.

 Design of test cases for functionality and database testing.

 Understand the system for Application Product Testing (APrT)

 Participate in peer, internal and external reviews.
