THE GRAND JURY CHARGES THAT:

COUNT ONE

On or about May 29, 2019, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in the Eastern District of

Virginia, the defendant JASON DELACRUZ, while being a Postal Service Officer and

employee, did unlawfully secrete, destroy, detain, delay, and open letters, postal cards, packages,

bags, and mail entrusted to him and which came into his possession and which were intended to

be conveyed by mail and carried and delivered by any carrier and other employee of the Postal

Service, and forwarded through and delivered from any post office and station thereof

established by the authority of the Postmaster General and the Postal Service, that is

DELACRUZ took mail that he was entrusted to deliver and instead of delivering it, placed it in

his privately rented storage facility.

(In violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1703(a)).
