SCHOOL READING PROGRAM

Project Description: “HALINA’T TAYO’Y MAGBASA.”

Number of Benefeciaries: 20 Struggling readers from Grade III to


Grade VI.

Location of Beneficiaries: TRANQUILINO L. OBLAN ELEMENTATY SCHOOL

Target Implementation Date: January to March 2020

Area of Project Implementation: San Isidro, San Vicente, Palawan


I. BUDGET REQUIREMENT:

II. RATIONALE:

Having the result of 13% struggling readers and 7 % non-readers from Grades III to grades VI last Pre-Test
made us alarmed and it is one of our tasked to reduced the said result and should have an ample time to have
reading enhancement.
III. CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK:

Based on the result of our BP-PRIA Pre-Test in English, 20 pupils are struggling readers which is 20 % of
pupils from Grade III to VI.

IV. OBJECTIVE:

1. To reduce struggling readers.


2. Involve family,teachers and classmates to implement the
reading enhancement in school and at home.
3. No to gadgets-cellphones and tablets to avoid internet
games.

V. Desired Impact or Outcome:

High percentage of Independent Readers.

VIII. MONITORING AND EVALUATION:

Struggling readers should be evaluated and identified by their teachers if the reading program is successful.

Individual reading should be done by grades to uplift their reading skills and ability. If it is properly done with
the guide of the teachers and parents.Pupils are all readers.
