AAU Instructional Wrestling Program Focusing on the fundamentals of wrestling through individualized
instruction, drill basics and advanced techniques while developing their individual wrestling abilities,

Legal Pre-deployment Briefs

The Marine Corps Base Consolidated Legal
Assistance Office has moved the Pre-
deployment/Wills/Power of Attorney Briefs from
the Midway Park Theater to the Base Theater.
These briefs will be presented every Tuesday at
1300 and can accommodate up to 300
personnel. Units needing to schedule briefs for

Barnes and Nobles annual book drive
Jacksonville NC –Barnes & Noble stores across the
country invite customers to give the gift of reading to
children in need during its annual Holiday Book Drive,
taking place from November 1, 2010 to January 1,
2011. The Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Drive
provides an opportunity for customers to donate books
through locally designated non-profit organizations.
Holiday Book Drive recipients throughout the country
include schools, libraries, literacy organizations, family
social service agencies and homeless centers. This
year, the Jacksonville Mall Barnes & Noble, located at
308 Jacksonville Mall will be collecting books for The
Jacksonville USO.
“Each Barnes & Noble store can partner with a non-
profit local organization of its choice to benefit from
the Holiday Book Drive,” said Sarah DiFrancesco,
director of community relations for Barnes & Noble.
“It’s a great opportunity for our stores and customers to
come together to donate new books to children in the
community who really need them.”

Onslow County Schools have put out an
urgent request for testing proctors to
assist with end of course exams in
January. They are willing to come to the
unit to train the individuals (approximately
30 minutes) prior to the testing date.
Exams are Jan. 14, 18, 19, and 20. Time is
from 7-11. January 18th is the most
critical day. Units do not have to
volunteer all days. Just one high school
needs 98 proctors and there are seven
schools in the county. Any number of
volunteers is welcome.
Keep in mind that 43 percent of these kids
are our military dependents.
If your company or section (active duty
AND/OR spouses) is interested in
assisting, please contact me, and I will
help to arrange training and volunteer
dates.
I know this is a busy time for many units,
and any support would be greatly
appreciated. Please pass the word if I
