Learning Objectives By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
a) Talk about one’s hobby based on their friends’
sharing.
b) Respond to the questions on the topic.

Cross Curricular Elements Medium of Instructions


Activities: 1. Pupils are given scrambled letters on the whiteboard
Pre-lesson (H, O, B, B, Y).
2. Pupils guess the topic of the day.
3. Pupils ask their shoulder partner’s hobby.
4. Pupils are assigned with a number each.
5. Pupils are chosen randomly based on the numbers to
share their shoulder partners’ hobby.
Lesson Development 1. Pupils are given words related to the topic and the
definitions (if needed) on the whiteboard.
2. Pupils sit in a big circle.
3. Pupils are given rules on how to play the ‘Passing
Puzzle’ game.
4. Pupils are chosen randomly based on the number
given in pre-lesson activity, to start the game.
5. Pupil with the first chosen number peels the first layer
of the puzzle and complete the task assigned within
one minute (Various tasks will be prepared for the
activity - mainly open-ended questions based on the
topic) (FA) (MS) (CS)
6. The same pupil picks another number to continue the
game after completing his/her task. (in between the
game, teacher provides feedback and support)

Post lesson 1. Pupils are required to share three new words and a
new hobby learned throughout the lesson.
