INTRODUCTION:

LIVE PROPOSAL:

•The Government of Andhra Pradesh has awarded a consortium with


Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd as the lead member the project to develop a UEC
on BOT basis.
•The project would come up in the campus of what was earlier old Gandhi
Medical College in Basheerbagh.
•To come up on a 9.68 acre plot, the project is estimated to cost Rs 137.52
crores. It would primarily comprise a retail shopping mall, with a minimum of 50-
60 per cent of the total built-up area.
•In the balance area, facilities to house hospitality, leisure and entertainment
would be developed. A multi-purpose convention centre, restaurants, multiplex,
food courts, gaming zone, night club, family entertainment center, indoor theme
part and ethnic enclosure with a crafts bazaar for handicrafts for the purpose of
tourists have been planned.

UEC( Urban entertainment centre) :

• Entertainment centre are social places- welcoming ,vibrant and engaging.


• Where people can simply get together and have fun.

AIM:

•Combining & redefining all modern forms of entertainment together for new era.
• Main idea of the project is to derivate a new entertainment identity through
modern forms of entertainment by architectural expressions, modern
technologies & flexibility.

OBJECTIVES:
•To bring different form of modern entertainment at a single space in an
integrated fashion.
•To create entertainment spaces which will provide enhanced sensory
experience to vision. To create series of flexible space.
•To provide a safe, intriguing, interesting and healthy environment for the users.
To offer a variety of spaces which do not cause boredom for the visitors.
•To create a conductive built environment in which, user can feel both physical
and mental relaxation.
•The design as a whole shall be perceived as a leisure entertainment zone,
integrating the built and open spaces, through effective planning and design.

SCOPE:
In order to provide better modern entertainment facilities in Hyderabad, it was
suggested that an integrated system such as an world-class entertainment centre
should be developed. The city has reasonable entertainment facilities like multiplex,
night club etc. However there is no integrated centre where the visitors can take
every advantages of entertainment.

SITE JUSTIFICATION:

The land selected for this project is situated at Basheerbagh, along the road of
liberty road, Hyderabad. It is 7 km from heart of Hyderabad. The site selected for
this project is old Gandhi medical college and in present period it is closed. Area of
the site is 39,182.83sq.m.(9.68 acre)

The site is surrounded by lal bahadur shastri stadium cricket ground, Nisham
engineering college, paigh plaza, kirloskar hospital and several apartment. The site
can be easily access though it is located near the heart of the city.
Near by cities : Hyderabad, Tandur, Kamareddy
