Dear Friends,
Highlight of this 4th edition of ‘Wisdom’ is- Indian College of Obstetricians
and Gynaecologists (ICOG) has allotted 26 credit points for the CME, the highest
ever allotted for a single programme. All of you are aware that Medical Council of India
has already released a Notification, stating that, 30 hours of Accreditation are required
in 5 years for renewal of MBBS degree by an individual doctor.
Though we call ‘WISDOM’ as annual PG CME, it is more useful and
necessary for the practicing consultants to attend this kind of teaching programmes
and ‘refresh & update’ their knowledge. Otherwise there is a tendency to believe and
practice depending on their experience, which many a times is far from ‘Evidence
Based Medicine.
