Soil Classification: Making 150mm nominal diameter bore holes at various locations in
soil using suitable approved method of boring including cleaning the bore holes,
collection of samples, observation of ground water level, collection of
3 undisturbed/disturbed sample and back filling of bore holes on completion of work as Loc -
per specification and instruction of engineer in charge of work .The scope also includes
the submission of final report containing the bore log details with classification of soil for
the purpose of providing foundation along with GPS co-ordinates of each boreholes.
Soil Resistivity: Conducting Soil resistivity test along the selected route and submitting
4 the test results in the form of report as detailed in the technical specifications at an Loc -
interval of 1km (4 point ERM method)
Earth work Excavation in Normal Soil foundation in all types of soils including Soft
Disintegreted Rock as defined by IS-1200 in but dry and wet conditions including
shoring and strutting de-watering sub-soil and rain water to keep the excavation dry.
Levelling and dressing the bottom of excavation to correct level and slope., with all
leads and lifts, including cleaning and Grubbing for removal of rank, vegetation, shrubs,
trees, bushes, stumps, weeds, grass including roots, debris, unusable materials, using

manual or mechanical method and disposal of the same by burning or any other means,
if required bailing /pumping out of water to keep site dry at all times until completion of
work; stepping, dressing, grading, cleaning, removing and excavating loose pockets as
directed etc. all complete as detailed in specification and drawings and as directed by
Engineer-in-charge.compleate all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by
Engineer-in-charge.
Excavation in Hard Rock/ Boulders using breakers and trimming to required level.
Rate shall include for Excavation at required depth at all leads; dressing of sides;
including cleaning and Grubbing for removal of rank, vegetation, shrubs, trees, bushes,
stumps, weeds, grass including roots, debris, unusable materials, using manual or
mechanical method and disposal of the same by burning or any other means, if required
bailing /pumping out of water to keep site dry at all times until completion of work;

stepping, dressing, grading, cleaning, removing and excavating loose pockets as
directed etc. all complete as detailed in specification and drawings and as directed by
Engineer-in-charge.
Note : Hard Rock/ Boulder is a rock fragment usually rounded by weathering,
disintegration and abrasion by water or ice having a maximum dimension in any
direction of more than 600 mm)
Sand filling below the foundations as per the standard specifications of KPTCL in
7 uniform horizantal layers including cost and conveyance of all materials, watering and Cum
ramming, tools & tackles all labour charges all leads and lifts etc
PCC 1:5:10 Providing & Laying of PCC mix using 40mm size Machine Crushed Metal for
foundations including cost and conveyance of all materials labour charges, all leads and

lifts, centering, ramming, curing , complete for finished item of work as per the
directions of the Engineer-in-charge.
PCC 1:4:8 Providing & Laying of PCC mix using 40mm size Machine Crushed Metal for
foundations including cost and conveyance of all materials labour charges , all leads and

lifts, centering, ramming, curing , complete for finished item of work as per the
directions of the Engineer-in-charge.
PCC 1:3:6 Providing & Laying of PCC mix using 40mm & 20mm size Machine Crushed

Stubs : Setting of stubs in all soils with stub setting templates -Erection of stubs, stub
template fixing of jacks for supporting template alignment and levelling for exact
11 location of stubs of stub setting template, dismantling of template after completion of Towers -
initial curing of C.C movement of template from one location to other location, 33kV
MC/DC ABCD type towers
Shoring & Shuttering either with country wooden planks and scantlings or with steel
sheets and props for excavation of pits for tower foundations where ever necessary
12 (Shoring is used when the location or depth of the cut makes sloping back to the Sqm
maximum allowable slope impractical) including cost and conveyance of all materials,
