Activity on Code of Ethics

Instructions: How significant is our adherence to the Code of Ethics for Professional
Teachers? Explain your answer in not more than 5 sentences. Submit it before due date

We teachers aside from helping our students learn academically, we also need to teach
them valuable life lessons in life by setting a good example. As role models, we must follow
wholeheartedly the Code of Ethics for Professional Teacher in pursuant to the provisions of
paragraph (e), Article 11, of R. A,. No. 7836, otherwise known as the Philippines
Professionalization Act of 1994 and Paragraph (a), section 6, P.D. No. 223, as amended, the
Board for Professional Teachers. This warrants that students receive a fair, honest and
uncompromising education. The Code of Ethics outlines the teacher’s main responsibilities to
the state, community, profession, co-worker, parents and especially to the learners. Above all, it
is designed to protect the students by defining our role in the students’ lives.
