Further we took up a follow up of the customers who we reached the day before through tele calling. We
tried to convince them by clarifying their doubts and took as many orders as possible. We also tried to
generate new leads through those customers and also through new contacts.

Followed by our calling, we received orders from many customers who we approached. We received two
order which consisted of 10,000 and 25,000 meters.

On the last day of the week, we observed the manufacturing process and general management work. We
also focused upon the manufacturing of the orders we received to understand about each and every detail
related to a single order. We also worked upon our weekly report on this day.
Project-3:
In this week, we were given the tasks which checked and improved our convincing power to the
customers. We were asked to find new customers and convert them into potential customers. We
were also briefed about different designs by our company’s head designer. We also converted

During this week, we were assigned the task of finding new customers and convert them into
existing customers. We were introduced about various designs by the company’s chief designer.
We had gain knowledge about digital printing machines and booked some order at the end of the
week. So basically this week task tested our convincing and communicational power.

Methodology:
For selling the product we have to find new customers and so that we collected information from
sources like Indiamart, yellow pages, Justdial etc. then we started contacting and message them on
Whatsapp and informed them about new products. Some clients replied positively and showed
interest in the products and rest rejected the calls. The customers who replied positively asked for
samples of products. We took the samples of grey fabrics and delivered to interested customers.

We were given information of designing of grey fabrics from company’s head designer Mr.
Yogesh Desai. He briefed us about different designs like glossy, matt etc. and told about different
color combinations. After gaining knowledge about design part, we moved on to the digital
printing machine. We noticed that sometimes the result are not accurate. The reason behind is error
in color combinations. So the designer have to correct the error and again try for accurate result.
This machine worked very fast and give large quantity in an hour.
Then we again called the clients to whom we sent the samples. Two of them were interested in our
product. They placed an order of 8000 and 15,000 meter respectively. But they were not ready for
the prices of the product. So we negotiated with them and after confirming with the manager we
reduced the price but in the condition of 20% advance and 75 days credit period.

In the fourth week, we were given information about the raw materials that were used in
manufacturing fabrics. We were also given the responsibility of managing the purchase of raw

sharing with the chairman Mr. Rajubhai Borda and the managers. We shared our learnings and experience
with them.
Learnings

One of the main things that I learned while doing my internship was importance of communication.
Communication is very important, when you are working in the marketing and sales department,
as you have to interact with a lot of different types of people. If there is no communication the aim
of the marketing and sales department will not be achieved properly.

In addition to this, I also realized the importance of client relations. You have to maintain relations
with your clients so that dealings with them are not only a one time thing but a long term relation.

Then there are also other important things such as planning and time management can be learned,
as without them the organisation cannot function its activities efficiently. Alongwith all these
concepts I got a first time experience of working in a corporate environment, which itself was a
completely new and learning experience for me.

Collected vast knowledge and expertise about the functioning of textile industries and how they
help the manufacturing sector.

Learnt about organisational culture and it's impact on the stakeholders

Learnt about basic financial operation pertaining to the concept of cash cycle and seasonal cycle

Learnt about studying and marketing various textile goods across the free market.

Learnt about the competition and it's major impact on local players
