COLLABORATION (15 minutes)  Questioning


Template
1. Teacher begins the class with the recitation of dua’  Mah-jong
2. Teacher asks questions[TT1] to the students: Paper with
i. Think of one(1) thing that you remember you did in the Questions

ii. Think of another thing that you did when you first came
to MTNP that you are still doing it today.
3. Students answer the questions individually first on the

4. Then, teacher asks students to share their answers verbally in
class.
5. Teacher writes students’ responses on the mah-jong paper.
6. Teacher asks students to identify the tense form for the first

7. Using the students’ responses on the mah-jong paper, teacher
explains the differences between the actions happened in the
past; Simple Past Tense, and, the actions that are still
happening now; Present Continuous Tense.
8. After that, teacher relates students’ responses with:
a. What happened before Malaysia was formed on 16
September 1963 and
b. With things that are still happening until now.
9. Teacher explains that, Simple Past Tense is used to talk about
what happened before Malaysia was formed and, Present
Continuous Tense is used to talk about things that are still
happening until now.
10. To prepare students to learn about things that happened
before Malaysia was formed and things that are still
happening now, teacher prepares students with reading
materials.

9. After that, students put their work on the wall and other students  Comprehe

WRITING SHORT PARAGRAPH “is going to” (15 minutes)

1. Teacher mentions SC2 to the students.


2. Students return to their seats and prepare for the next task.
3. Using the details[TT4] found in the previous activity, students write a
paragraph using the Simple Past Tense and Present Continuous Tense
– What is the most important thing Malaysia should continuousl

5. After they finish writing, students check their answer with friends –
