All: A pleasant morning maam and sir

All: Our research study entitled “The Positive effects of Genyo e-learning in the junior
high school students of Good Shepherd Academy”
All: We are the researchers

This refers to GENYO Electronic Learning a web based application that is integrated in
the school curriculum GENeration and YOuth; or ‘henyo’ genius in the vernacular. E-
learning is a generic term for all “electronically – supported learning and teaching”. E –
learning tools include electronic media such as phone bridging, audio and videotape,
satellite broadcast and he more commonly recognized forms of web based training or
computer aided instruction. It is a method that utilizes ICT to support, enhance, enrich,
and extend the whole teaching and learning experience.+
ABSTRACT
Esai: Due to the rapid growth of internet technology, schools around the world are
investing heavily in Genyo e-learning systems to support their traditional teaching and to
improve their students’ learning experience and performance.
Judo: Genyo e-learning has many positive effect to junior high school student of Good
shepherd Academy and you will see it later in our gathered data
Miguel: We found out that Genyo e-learning can help student in their overall academic
performance
Shine: We seen that there is significance relationship between Genyo e-learning and student in
their performance.

Background
Shine: one of them being enhancing the students learning, to be more student centered,
and helps to stimulate an increase in the student teacher interaction. Students are more
likely to use cell phones or computers to get help because they can do it themselves.
Technology is helping students to become independent. One of this is what we called
Genyo e-Learning,a learning platform that provides rich and engaging interactive
multimedia content for the students so they can have fun while enhancing their
academic performance. Teachers can also customize lessons and assessment modules
to address individualized learning.
Esai: as it provides them online resources to motivate, engage, and enhance learning. It
is the first and only fully integrated online learning management system for basic
education in the Philippines. It is fully integrated because with Genyo, teachers and
students have access to more than a thousand teaching resource like video clips, audio
files, interactive animation and educational games. It offers the 5- e-learning cycle –
Engage, Explore, Explain, Extend and Evaluate. Basically, this is comparable to the
lesson plans created by teachers and educators, only this cycle is more appropriate for
online learning. We engage the student with the topic, let them explore on their own
what the topic is all about so they could have an idea, let the teacher discuss the topic
and explain further complicated areas, have the students extend their learning by
applying what they’ve learned through varied activities, and lastly evaluate the student’s
performance by giving quizzes or exams that would monitor their performance. (Genyo
online).
Miguel: just a few months that the teachers and junior high school students experienced
the use of Genyo E-learning and in this regard, the researcher, aims to explore its
positive impact in the learning process in the students. It delves into how the tool
addresses the diverse needs and interests of digital learners to enhance their learning
experiences, develop the sense of responsibility of their own learning and infuse in them
the 21st century skills. Teachers uses technology to help them to teach the students
using Genyo E-learning while discussing and letting each student to use computers so
that student can learn and explore what computers can do and helps the student to be
independent.
Judo: if it is helping them to be motivated in studying while exploring and enjoying by
themselves so that they will know if it is worthy to have that Genyo e-learning in a
particular institution.
Scope and Delimitation
Miguel: who are using technological devices are the subject of this study.
Judo:
Shine: Interview Protocol served as the main instrument in the gathering of information.
The respondent of the study will compose of two (2) students for each grade level of
junior high school in Good Shepherd Academy as they are the main subject of this
study.
Esai:
Significance of the study
Judo:By determining and knowing the positive effects of genyo e-learning in the
students, they will be able to know if the built genyo e-learning is worthy to have and if
it’s helpful to the students that is studying in the said institution.
Esai: This will benefit the teachers for using technological devices(particularly Genyo e-
learning) are a lot of help with them, it lessen all tiredness, by that way in using
presentation the student focus on the computer screen and their mind listen to the
teacher carefully. In this case the teachers that are using technological devices can get
the advance teaching the lecture.
Shine: This will benefit the junior high school students for they be aware on using Genyo
e-learning to enhance their learning performance and not to abuse of using it. This
study was also used for the sake of their task and responsibilities they may encounter in
the future. Through this study technological devices may gain insights on how to
enhance the learner in using it. It may also be a great help to them in improving their
skills.
Miguel: To the future researchers, This study will benefit the future researcher because
it can be used as reference to their study. With this study, they can easily improve or
conduct their new research study. This study can be used as a guide or for their Review
Related Literature and Studies for the future researcher who will undertake similar
study.
METHO
Shine: Descriptive studies have an important role in educational research. They have
greatly increased our knowledge about what happens in schools .Studies of this type
might describe the positive effects of genyo e-learning in junior high school students
that the researcher will need to observe and conduct an interview to their chosen
respondents in finding out the descriptive data that will be used as the answer to their
study based on the experience of the respondents.
Case studies often lead to testable hypotheses and allow us to study rare phenomena.
This kind of research seek the occurrence of genyo e-learning in Good Shepherd
Academy, the big question is how this e-learning help the junior high school student in
their overall academic performance this is connected and appropriate to the statement
of Yin (2003) that the case study method is appropriate “when a ‘how’ or ‘why’ question
is being asked about a contemporary set of events, over which the investigator has little
or no control”
Esai: It is useful to obtain detailed information about personal feelings, perceptions and
opinions of the respondent. The researchers used semi-structured interviews that
contain the components of both, structured and unstructured interviews. In semi-
structured interviews, interviewer prepares a set of same questions to be answered by
all interviewees. At the same time, additional questions might be asked during
interviews to clarify and/or further expand certain issues. Advantages of interviews
include possibilities of collecting detailed information about research questions
Miguel: The researchers choose the types of non-probability sampling which is
purposive sampling because it is the one of the most cost effective and time effective
sampling methods available. In this type of sampling, subjects are chosen to be part of
the sample with a specific purpose in mind. With judgmental sampling, the researcher
believes that some subjects are fit for the research compared to other individuals. The
main goal of purposive sampling is to focus on particular characteristics of a population
that are of interest, which will best to answer our research questions regarding to the
positive effects of genyo e-learning.
Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn.

Recommendations
In the light of the foregoing finding and conclusions, the following recommendations
are humbly suggested.
1. Students should use Genyo e-learning everyday to broaden and improve their
knowledge as we observe in their answer Genyo e-learning has a big impact in their
education
2. Teachers should continuously use Genyo e-learning as a teaching resource to
motivate students to learn as the same time to enjoy learning.
3. Students should everyday use Genyo e-learning to have an advance study, as a
students who have Genyo e-learning gave more opportunities to cope with the lesson
and develop their knowledge.
4. All subject teachers should use Genyo e-learning in teaching to the beneficial of Math
teachers and students. Teachers can easily input the lesson and Genyo e-learning can
help students in their overall academic performance
5. Further studies should be conducted to strengthen the findings and provide
additional information relevant to the study.
