RAP PORKALAM ONLINE VOTING TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Brief description and Mechanism of Rap Porkalam Online Voting

i. The Rap Porkalam Online Voting is organized by Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd
(“Astro”) for its programme known as “Rap Porkalam” (“Programme”) where Voters (as defined
under 2a(iii) below) will vote for contestant(s) of their choice.

ii. Rap Porkalam is a rap competition which will be aired on Astro Vinmeen HD every Saturday @
7PM from 22nd January 2020 to 25th April 2020.

iii. The Stage 1 voting will be held from 29th January 2020 until 4th February 2020; Stage 2 voting
will be held from 19th February 2020 to 25th February 2020; and the Wild card round voting will
be held from 18th March 2020 to 24th March 2020.

iv. The contestants who get selected to participate in Stage 2, Wild Card Round & Finale shall be
determined solely by online voting (“the voting”), except for the selection of winners in the Grand
Finale.

2) Voting Mechanics and Eligibility

a) Online Voting
i. Contestants individual performance video will be made available by Astro Ulagam on the official
website www.astroulagam.com.my/RapPorkalam during the Online Voting Period (as
hereinafter defined) to enable the public to vote for their favorite contestant(“Online Voting”).

ii. The Online Voting will be held from 29th January 2020 until 4th February 2020 for Stage 1; from
19th February 2020 to 25th February 2020 for Stage 2; and from 18th March 2020 to 24th March
2020 for Wild Card Round. Each voting will start at 12am on the first day, and end at 11.59pm
on the last day.

iii. The Online Voting is open for all ages (“Voters”) provided always that any Voters under the
age of eighteen (18) years must seek parental and/or guardian approval before participating in
the Online Voting. ASTRO considers it the responsibility of parents and/or guardian to monitor
their children’s (who are below the requisite age) participation in the Online Voting.

iv. Voters may cast their vote as follows:

1. Go to the Programme’s official website at www.astroulagam.com.my/RapPorkalam

2. At the official website, Voter will need to click on the ‘Vote’ tab to login with their own
Facebook account before voting for the participants;
3. Users/Voters will be allowed to view the videos of all participants during the Online Voting
Period;
4. Each Voter will only be allowed to vote 50 votes per day for his/her favourite
contestant(s).
5. The total number of Votes will be monitored by ASTRO and verified by an auditor
appointed by ASTRO; and
6. The daily tally of votes for each participants will be made available on the official website.

Standard Terms and Conditions

1. Charges

Online Voting

1.1 Online Voters’ votes will not be subject to any charges.

2. Voting Entries & Eligibility

2.1 Each vote shall be deemed as a voting entry by the Voter (“Voting Entry”) or (“Voting Entries”)
(hereinafter “Voter” shall mean for Online Voter). Online Voters are only allowed to cast 50 votes per
day for his/her favourite contestant(s).

2.2 The voter must ensure that their votes are complete and accurate. Astro shall have the right to
disqualify any Voting Entries which are incomplete, invalid or not made in accordance with the Terms
and Conditions herein.

2.3 All votes must be submitted in the language specified. Votes in any other languages will be rejected
by Astro.

2.4 Voters under the age of eighteen (18) must seek parental and/or guardian approval before
participating in the Voting. Astro considers it the responsibility of parents and/or guardian to monitor
their children’s (below the requisite age) participation in this Voting.

2.5 Where applicable, voters must obtain consent from the bill payers before participating in the Voting.

3. Proof of Receipt

3.1 Proof of voting entry sent by a voter does not constitute proof that the voting entry was received by
Astro.

4. Adherence to Voting Terms & Conditions

4.1 All Voters shall be required to adhere to these Online Voting Terms and Conditions including any
changes made thereto. Astro reserves the right to disregard the Online Voting Entry, in the event any
of the Online Voting Terms and Conditions and/or Astro Website Terms of Use and Notices are not
adhered to.

5. Variation to the Terms & Conditions

5.1 Astro reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Online Voting Terms and Conditions
without prior notice at any time and the voters agree that he shall be bound by such changes.

6. Exclusion of Liability

6.1 Astro will not be responsible or liable for:

6.1.1 any problem, loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by any party due to any
delay and/or failure in receiving and sending as a result of any network, communication
or system error, interruption and/or failure experienced by the participating
telecommunication service providers and/or by Astro and/or resulting from participation
in the Voting howsoever arising. In the event of such error, interruption and/or failure,
Astro shall not be responsible or liable for any failure by any voter to participate in the
Voting at any time.

6.1.2 any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature suffered by the voter or their
authorised representatives resulting from their participation in the Voting.

6.1.3 any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission,
communications line failure, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries,
or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a
result of technical faults, server functions, virus, bugs or any other causes.

6.1.4 any other errors, acts or omissions by the participating telecommunication service
providers.

7. Disqualification

7.1 Without prejudice to any rights which Astro may have in law, Astro reserves the right at its
sole discretion to disqualify any voter that it determines to be tampering with the entry process
or the operation of the Voting, acting in breach or potential breach of these Online Voting
Terms and Conditions.

8. Suspension

8.1 The organizer further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or delay the Voting in
the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control or for any reasons whatsoever
at the sole and absolute discretion of the organizer.

9. Governing Law

9.1 These voting Terms and Conditions shall be construed, governed and interpreted in accordance with
the laws of Malaysia.

10. Astro’s Decision

10.1 All decisions made by the Organizer pertaining to all aspects of the Voting including without limitation
the process and manner the votes are counted and vote results shall be final and no correspondence
shall be entertained.
