CIRROSTRATUS
• Transparent whitish veil clouds with a fibrous (hair-
like) or smooth appearance.

• A sheet of cirrostratus which is very extensive, nearly


always ends by covering the whole sky.

• Cirrostratus clouds are high-level clouds, they form


at altitudes between about 5 and 10km(about 16,600
and 30,000ft).

• Cirrostratus clouds are so thin that the sun and moon


can be seen through them.

• It is usually come 12-24 hours before a rain or snow


storm.
