B. Generalization
 Figurative language
- Is a language that is used to convey something
that is different from the literal meaning of the
word.
 Personification
- Is a figurative device in which an object,
abstract idea, or animal is given human
characteristics.
 Hyperbole
- Is exaggeration for emphasis; overstatement.
 Apostrophe
- Is an address to someone who is absent and
cannot hear the speaker, or to something non-
human that cannot understand what is said.
 Consonance
- Repetition of consonant sounds at the
beginning of the words.
 Anaphora
- Repetition of the first part of the sentence in
order to achieve an artistic effect.
 Onomatopoeia
- Is defined as a word which imitates the natural
sounds of a thing.
