Narrative Report on Campus Journalism

With the aim of achieving the goals of the organization, the following activities
were done with the supervision of the coordinators.
I. Organizing of Staff
As early as June, the school paper coordinators are already screening
learners’ journal writing capabilities in order to come up with good line-up of
staff. Students who are interested to join the club are given the task to write an
article related to their area of interest. The teacher assigned to the category then
carefully selected the student journalist best fitted to the category. From there, the
school paper staff was then formulated. See attached sheet.

II. Attending Trainings

The table below shows the list of coaches with their assigned category as
well as the student journalists they handled throughout the training. Whole day
training of journalists were done every Saturdays. During school days, the
journalists were tasked to meet up with their respective coaches to give their
day-to-day activities.

III. Joining the DSPC

Last August 29, 2019, the school’s journalists participated in Division
Schools Press Conference which is one of the most awaited contests of every
journalist. It has become a privilege for them to become part of it. This is the
time to show how well their trainings had been.
Aside from having the desire of having an experience in the mentioned
contest, every journalist desires to win. Eventhough they failed today, they have
become inspired, motivated and dedicated to work better next time. The journey
never stops.
