PROJECT PROPOSAL

PROJECT TITLE: 1st Youth Congress 2019

THEME: Kabataan Kaabag sa Pagpanilipud sa Kinaiyahan para sa Maayong Pagdumala.

RATIONALE:

In Republic Act 10742 the youth refer to those persons whose ages range from fifteen (15) to
thirty (30) years old as defined in Republic Act No. 8044. For the purpose of targeted
programming for the youth, the age disaggregation shall be considered:
15-17 – child youth 18-24 – core youth 25-30 – adult youth

Nonetheless, a widespread and comprehensive education campaign still needs to be employed in

order to ensure that residents especially government officials in the island are empowered and
united in protecting these areas.

It is in this light that the 1st Youth congress is organized. With Sangguniang Kabataan Officials
as participants, this summit hopes to empower the youth participants on environmental
protection, social responsibilities and introduce on how to be a good future leaders in the
Barangay Lamac.

OBJECTIVES:

The 1st Bantayan Island Youth Summit aims to:

1. Create awareness about environmental protection and declared protected areas in
some parts of the Barangay.
2. Foster camaraderie among the Youth Leaders of the Baranagy.
3. Develop transformational leadership to the Youth Leaders.
4. Create Baranagy Lamac Leaders Coalition
5. Create activity plans within 3 years.

BENEFICIARIES:

5 Representatives per Purok coming from 20 Puroks in the Barangay Lamac a total of
100 and 50 members of the Fraternities that acknowledge by the Barangay there 3 fraternity in
Barangay Lamac.
