Production: Women of Steel – Community Based Project for Classical Sheffield.

I am responsible for this production in terms of the artistic leadership of the project
with responsibilities in design, casting and direction. In addition, I have provided
support and guidance to the community team of writers to help ensure both
performability and is of interest to an audience.

My tasks for Orpheus mostly entailed artistic direction, design and casting decision.
However, I was also in a supervisory and support role to the student-led production
team. For this production I also produced a modern translation and altered the
score to more finely suit the younger voices of this company.

I was responsible for the artistic leadership of the project including design, casting,

My thesis is examining the performance of masculinity in the operatic medium within
the Verdian tradition.

A performance-based degree focused on voice and operatic training. During this
degree I also worked on original research in the Male to Female Travesti roles in
opera. I also enjoyed roles in RNCM Operas Theodora and La Vie Parisienne.
