As per API 521-Part 1, Figure 10, isolation valve is not required in discharge piping if it is
discharging to atmosphere. Hence isolation valve at outlet piping is not required. Hence FB is
not depicted wherever isolation valve is not required.
For Inlet piping isolation valve are required only if a spare PSV is provided. Hence isolation
valves have not been provided in single PSVs. However, since at certain places, isolation
valves have been shown in FEED design, it has been retained.
Hence, FB valves have been depicted wherever isolation valves have been provided.
The note has already been provided in the current issue of PIDs.
Axial stop has been provided at PSV discharge as a normal engineering procedure and as per
stress analysis. It has been welded to the pipe support.

Reverse flow is not envisaged as flow will occur based on pressure difference, and pump
suction will be on the lower pressure side. During closure of the MOV, the flow will be routed
through the FCV and back to the pump suction and not to the suction header because of the
pressure difference. Hence reverse flow is not possible.
The line has been changed to piping from onshore pipeline as per the latest TQ reply and
company approval. The same has been updated in latest issue of PIDs as well. Hence no
provision for pigging is required.

There is no underground line after the PCSW pit. The content has to be pumped either by
vacuum truck, or by pump so no isolation is required downstream of the sump.
Sampling connection legend has been issued. All the details required are mentioned in it.
Pump in Sampling System is part of Vendor scope. However, the location of Pump shall be
shown in Unit Plot Plan in later stage.
Nozzle orientation for size 12" above is modelled and lines are routed accordingly. Same shall
be reviewed in 30% Model Review.

Spare pump is not envisaged as this entire operation is intermittent, even if the running
pump trips, vacuum truck connection can be used for unloading.
