If you are a first time employee UAN would be created post your joining the

If you are already having an UAN the same need to given to HR who would
take care of linking the same with Olam account.

How do I link them?
Technically possible but our suggestion would be have a new UAN to avoid
any confusions.
7. I have linked my previous UAN with Olam. How do I get the amount
transferred?
You shall apply for an online transfer your UAN Login credentials. Once
applied online Olam would approve the same and PF office would process and
a transfer normally takes around 3 months if within the state and 3 – 6
months in case of any interstate transfer.
Yes but you should have at least 5 years and 6 months of PF service for doing
so. This can be either with Olam or combined service from previous
organisations provided you had not withdrawn from the previous
organisations.
You shall share the missing details to your HR and there is provision in PF
portal for uploading certain missing details which shall be done and approved.
10. I find a few details incorrect in my Portal (for instance name spelt wrongly,
wrong DOB etc.). How do I get the same rectified?
You need to provide a Joint Declaration along with the employer in the
prescribed format to make these changes. Joint declaration form is available
with HR. Please note that these corrections cannot be made online as on

intimated in case of any clarifications or mismatch.
If the UAN is same across all organisations you shall initiate online transfer
through portal.

cases.

receive the amount. How do I check?
You need to contact your previous employer on this or check directly with the
PF department. You shall also check online in the EPFO website under the

Three years after which your account would become dormant. You shall still
apply for a transfer or withdrawal post 3 years but no interest would be paid
after 3 years from your Date of Resignation ( or last remittance against your
PF number ).
16. I am not able to find my PF Number in the Payslip. How do I know the
same?
All transactions now happen only through UAN and hence PF number has no
direct relevant apart in the case of manual transfer.
Please visit www.epfindia.gov.in >> Our Services >> For Employees >> Member Passbook
You shall use your same UAN login credentials for Passbook generation.
You would find both your previous and present employer details

The process for online transfer is the same both in case of exempted and
