INTRODUCTION
Greetings!
Happy New Year brothers and sisters in Christ! Good morning New
Worship Centre! Thank you for coming to the event!
It is timely and relevant that we hold our Breakthrough Tour, this New
Year here in this God appointed building, this New Worship Centre.

Well I guess most of you have already planned about your new year’s
resolution. Some of you may have dreamed of quitting a bad habit,
restoring broken relationships, investing in the right business, pursuing
your passion or simply wants a breakthrough. Well, I am going to tell you
something –IT IS POSSIBLE! The Bible says, we can do all things
through Christ who strengthens us! Amen? And that is what I am going
to share with you this afternoon –HOW TO GET A BREAKTHROUGH!

II. HOW TO EXPERIENCE BREAKTHROUGH?

1. BREAKTHROUGH HAPPENS WHEN WE ARE IN CHRIST!

2 Corinthians 5:17 clearly says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creation. Old things are gone. Behold all things have become new!
Apostle Paul set us example of what is meant by being in Christ. We
all knew that Paul persecuted the Christians. But his life had a 360 degree turn
over when he met Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus. His life completely
changed since then. To be in Christ means to live in God’s calling. Paul knew that
he had to face rejection and humiliation or even death but he still responded to
God’s calling and he had a breakthrough from physical and spiritual blindness.

2. BREAKTHROUGH HAPPENS WHEN WE FORGET WHAT IS LEFT

BEHIND AND FOCUS ON THE GOAL.
Paul described what it means to be In Christ in Philippians 3: 13-14, “Brothers
and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do:
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward
the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ
Jesus.”
 When we are in Christ things, old things have passed away.
If we are in Christ that means we have to forgive and forget. Leave anything that
hinder us from living with Christ.
In Luke 9:62, Jesus said "No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is
fit for service in the kingdom of God."
Paul says, he forgets what is left behind and presses toward the goal
Behold! All things have new. God will completely change your life from
nothing into something.
From being arrogant to humble, Paul was changed after his encounter with Christ.
He even became the pillar of the Christianity. He realised that his righteousness
was a God given grace and not by his self righteous works.

3. BREAKTHROUGH HAPPENS WHEN YOU GIVE.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.
Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the
floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room
enough to store it.” Malachi 3:10
When the woman gave oil to prophet Elisha, God rewarded her with
overflowing oil and their family had a breakthrough. They were able to pay their
debt. (2 Kings 4:1-5)
