Aim:

To study the existing housing typology and its development pattern in Puducherry to provide
adequate housing for all through sustainable housing development.

Objectives:
 To Study demand for housing by examine the existing features in Puducherry.
 To demarcate population density in urban area.
 To examine the concentration areas of homeless population, its causes and effects.
 To identify fallow/vacant land that can be deployed.

Scope:
 Importance of housing in development of city.
 Raising the quality of life by provide shelter to needy.
 Housing as important economic activities.

Limitation:

 To study at city municipal level
