Other writers may be proposed for class work, but they must be proposed and approved at least one
week before the scene is scheduled to present in class, and students should be prepared to provide a
copy of the script, either electronic or hard copy.

Note: Many of these writers have a range of aesthetic styles across their entire body of work. For the fall
semester of First Year Acting, students should stick with the plays that are closer in style to
contemporary realism. In the Spring we can start to expand into a broader range of styles.
