HOW TO STUDY

a) Solve specimen papers from rcpch site.Try to do it in stipulated time limit. You will come to know about the
exam. click here

b) Print important guidelines from the RCPCH and NICE site. Visit my page, useful links.click here

c) You should do MCQs first. Online websites have questions in three levels of difficulties:Easy, Average and Difficult.
Do simple and average questions. Do difficult questions also but leave very difficult questions, don't waste time in
solving those questions.

After doing specimen papers, you will come to know which question to leave.

d) Do questions in a set of 20 on a website in a time frame manner and as is explained in this blog. Please don’t be
happy if you get 80 or 90% marks. For every single wrong answer, find out the reason and read the texts from the
recommended books and underline those texts for revision. This will save your precious time in readings things you
already know.Your reading will be more exam oriented. At regular intervals read those underline texts and discuss with
your partner. While revising those underlined texts if you feel some texts to be read before going for exam, than
marked those texts with different color.

e) Please do not read the big textbooks because this will not going to help in the exam. Read only recommended
books. Visit my page, recommended books and websites.click here

For part one Essential Revision Notes is the main book.

First four books in the list are very-very important for part one. Try to note down important points from other books in
the main book so revision will be easy.

For part 2 (AKP), the main book is Mastercourse. Do as many online questions as possible. Follow the same steps
as above.

AKP is a difficult exam. For pictures you can take help of google images. For scenarios you can go to library and read pediatric and child health journals.
