The report is prepared post the analysis of data provided which carries the information about the
employees of an organization. The data contains the information about the employee’s department,
experience and their salary components.

The data provided has detailed information about the designation, department, division, in-house and
previous experience, qualifications, age and their salary structure.

The given data was analyzed using Microsoft Power BI tool to understand the various aspects about the
organization and its employees. The analysis is done in two dimensions, the first dimension is adopted to
understand the demographic of the organization (w.r.t different departments and divisions) and its
employees (w.r.t Age, experience, designations and grades). The second dimension is adopted to
understand the cost incurred by the organization on their employees in different division and different
department.

Demographic of the organization

The first part of the analysis shows that the organization has 1660 employees across nine divisions which
are as follows.
1. SALE
2. FINANCE & ACCOUNTS
3. MATERIALS
4. HRD & CORPO. AFFAIRS
5. CONSTRUCTION
6. PROJECT OPERATIONS
7. INFOTECH CENTRE
8. ENGINEERING
9. SQE

The Engineering department has the largest number of workforce with a strength of 1073 employees and
least being in the Finance and Accounts departments i.e. 19 employees.

The organization have 38 diversified departments such as Projects, Procurements, General affairs, Civil
engineering etc. across the nine different divisions.

The organization have a much diversified workforce in terms of combination of youth and experienced
workforce. The organization has employed people from the age of min 19 years to the maximum 57 years
of age. The data also suggest that the organization provides equal opportunity to all people having
different amount of work experience which is evident from the fact that a person with 40+ years of
experience is working with the organization and a person without any prior experience is a part as well.

The first dashboard covers the information about the Average age, designations, Prior work experience
and the grades of the employees.

The first dashboard is divided into 4 parts, where the first part is to analyze the average experience of the
employees in each of the divisions which can be further drilled down at the department level.

The analysis suggest that the ‘HRD & CORPO. Affairs’ division has the most experience workforce with an
average workexperience of 22.7 years and the ‘Engineering’ division has the youngest workforce with the
10.5 years. The report suggest the diversity of the employees in terms of work experience across different
divisions and departments.

The sencod part of the dashboard shows the presence of empolyees with different designation across
different divisions and can be further drilled down to department level.
The data shows that the organisation has a total workforce of 843 employess who holds the designation
of Engineer, Sr. Engineer, Sr, Asst. engineer, Principle engineer and Sr. principle enginer which suggests
that the organisation is primarily driven by providing engineering services.

The third part of the dashboard display the information about the mix of people with experience and
without experience which reflects diversification of workforce across a division and department.

It was absorbed during the data analysis that across all the divisons, the number of people with prior work
experience are signifacantly larger and the number of people with no prior experience is less which
signifies that the organisation believes in quality and precision which is only possible with a qualified and
experienced workforce.

The fourth part of the dashboard talks about the strength of different grade of employees across different
divisons and different departments. The analysis shows that the major number of employees are in the
grade of M4,M5,M6,M7 and S1 which sums out to be 1092 of the total 1066 employees in the
organisation.
The second dashboard is prepared to analyze the cost incurred to the organization across different divisions and
different departments. It was aimed to explore the fixed cost and the variable cost to the organization and how the
organization has incentivized their employees across the organization.
The organisation is spending Rs 156 million on monthly basis as a cost to its employees with a maximum annual CTC
offered of Rs. 4252107 and minimum annual CTC of Rs 231540.

The dashboard explores different aspects of the salary structure and the cost incurred to the organization. It shows
that the organization has annually spending Rs. 2314 million as cost to its employees.

The data analysis shows that the organization is spending most on the division such as Project operation, Materials,
Engineering and Constructions which is costing Rs 2022 million as Employees annual CTC. Similarly the organization
is spending most on the 4 departments i.e. Civil engineering, CONST EXECU PLAN'G, PIPING & 3D CAD and Projects
which Rs 1086 million of total spending of the organization on its employees.
The data also shows that the organisation is most of the salary as a basic pay to their employees i.e. 39%
of the total monthly salary given to the employees.

The data also shows that the organisation spending 80.96% of it total annual CTC on the monthly basis
and rest as a one time payment which involves the annual Bonus and annual super annuation.

Conclusion

The above data analysis is very helpful from an organization perspective as it will help in taking strategic decision
from the manpower resource planning, budget forecasting and fund allocations for different divisions and
departments.
