Topic: Revamping of Pakistan’s foreign policy in the international arena,

PAKISTAN NATIONAL ASSEMBLY,

Having examined the history of Pakistan’s foreign policy from 1947 till now,

Emphasizing on the revamping of foreign policy to strengthen relations with

democratic countries,

Conscious of the importance for a good foreign policy as it is of prime importance

to the sovereignty of the country,

Fully aware of the exceptional relations of Pakistan with China,

Viewing with appreciation our relations with China,

Conscious of the unfairness of China in treating the Uyghur Muslims

Bearing in mind our deteriorating relations with India,

Fully believing that Kashmir and India’s extremism is the main cause of unrest
between us,

Noting with Regret the unjustness of the UK in the Kashmir Issue which started in
1947

Taking in mind our bilateral relations with Iran,

Concerned about our unfortunate relations with Afghanistan which have been for
two decades,

Mindful of the importance of keeping close relations with the superpowers,

Taking note of how Pakistan has maintained peace in the region by being a
peaceful country,

Recognizing the cause of inferior relations with sme countries,

Believing the cause of malcontent foreign policy is political unrest,

Noting with regret the internal conflicts of the political parties which have been a
source of contention between the nation and the government as well as the
opposition parties,

Realizing that these conflicts give advantage to the unfriendly countries in order
to slander our integrity and sovereignty,

Declaring to solve these political conflicts through table talks,

Deeply conscious of Pakistan’s relations with the Muslim world,

Further recalling Pakistan’s role in Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)

which is an important milestone for all the Muslim countries,

Observing the relations of Pakistan with its neighboring and regional countries,

RESOLVES

1. Trusts the political parties to overcome the conflicts and be on the same
page to forge a better foreign policy:
  By holding conferences,
 Listening to the view point of each party,
 Taking into consideration the sentiments of all political leaders,
2. Approves to strengthen relations with Islamic countries to overcome
problems like Islamophobia as Pakistan’s ideology i.e Islamic ideology:
 Regularly hold sessions to discuss problems faced by them
 Frequent tours to concrete relations with each other
 Forge a committee to strengthen the Islamic countries in front of
others,
3. Encourages to hold table -talks with India and negotiations instead of war;
4. Draws the attention to keep our relations with China at bay;
 Not giving China full accession to our resources
 Sanctions on Pal-China relations,
5. Urges the UN to stand by their point and hold referendum in Kashmir;
 As promised by the UN taking into account the sentiments of
Kashmiris,
6. Stresses to wire the Durand line and allocate a budget for this purpose to
stop the drug cartel and weapon trafficking;
7. Requests the Gulf countries to invest in CPEC to reduce the dependency of
Pakistan on China:
 Frequent tours of the Persian Gulf countries to extend our relations,
8. Encourages the government to intelligently use Pakistan’s geo-political
position in extending ties with superpowers;
 As the USA and UK have a keen observation over our geo-political
position and we must use that to our advantage,
9. Encourages to hold OIC conference in Pakistan to unite the Muslim
countries on a single platform and make them understand the true values
of Islam;
10. Calls out Saudi Arabia to avoid diplomacy and maintain brotherhood in the
light of Islam
11.Stresses to concrete relations with Central Asian Republics in order to
maintain regional peace;
12.Draws the attention to hold a neutral stance in the USSR and USA conflicts.
