CURRENT TRENDS & ISSUES IN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

GLOBAL ISSUES NETWORK

The global issues network (GIN) focuses on imminent issues like water shortages,

climate change, infectious diseases, poverty and illiteracy on which they are trying to

build connection and meet both ends to solve those problems. It is good to know that

we have like these started in Europe to help us solve the undying problems of nation.

As an educator we are responsible in nurturing the young people to help with the

current issues in the country. I believe this will happen if we could teach our students

doing some research, just like the GIN who happens to be started from the small grass

roots and grown rapidly through conferences. A powerful dialogue which allow the

students to believe in changes and solve some issues or concern. We have to be

empowered if want to adapt what GIN has started and to have some like GIN students

who wants to be involved and take some actions not to be contented with some theory.

In order to have these we have to start from our classes, a group of students who are

ready to face the reality of life to create positive changes.
