Aquí aprenderemos a utilizar la voz pasiva, es decir pasar de una oración

en activa a pasiva. A continuación te darás cuenta de que se trata.
Mucha suerte y a trabajar!

En la voz pasiva se destaca la acción y no quien la realiza. En la oración

pasiva quien realiza la acción carece de importancia o es desconocido.

Tanto en inglés como en español existen 2 voces:

 La voz activa
 La voz pasiva

Como en español, la voz pasiva se forma con el verbo 'to be' (ser) y el
participio pasado.

-I make the birthday cake. (Activa)(Yo hago la torta de

cumpleaños)

-The birthday cake is made by me. (Pasiva)(La torta de

cumpleaños es hecha por mi)

El objeto directo establecido pasará a ocupar el lugar de sujeto, el

sujeto de la voz activa pasa a ser complemento agente acompañado de
la preposición BY y el verbo principal se coloca en pasado participio
acompañado por el verbo TO BE en el tiempo que se encuentra la voz
activa. Por ejemplo:

-My sister brings the keys. Mi hermana trae las llaves.

-The keys are brought by my sister. Las llaves son traidas por
mi hermana.

Es muy importante que tengas en cuenta que el tiempo verbal que se

encuentra la oración en activa, debe permanecer en la voz pasiva!!!Por
ejemplo, si la oración activa está en presente, cuando la pases a pasiva
el verbo “to be” debe seguir en presente:

• My brother paints his bedroom. Mi hermano pinta su dormitorio.

Pasiva/Tiempo Presente:

• His bedroom is painted by my brother. Su habitación es pintada por

mi hermano.

El objeto directo de la oración activa pasa a ser el sujeto de la oración

pasiva:

IMPORTANT!

En la voz pasiva cuando nos referimos al agente que realize la accion, no

usamos los pronombres personales que ya conocemos, sino que utilizamos
los pronmobres objetivos que te muestro a continuacion:

 Para decir quién hacía la acción o qué la causaba, se usa 'by'.

Por ejemplo:
She brings the money the money is brought by her.

A PRACTICAR!
1)-Pasa a voz pasiva las frases en presente simple.

Ejemplo:
They close the market on Mondays. The market is closed on Mondays.

2)- Transforma las frases activas en pasivas:
He invents silly things.→
I read a book. →
She signs the contract. →
A car hits me. →
My neighbours take care of my plants. →

3)- Escribe las siguientes oraciones en voz pasiva:

4)- Transforma estas oraciones pasivas en activas:

B: It’s sold at many newsstands.

A: Is it translated into many languages?

B: Yes, it is. And it is published every two weeks and any news stories are written for Time
magazine.

A: And what is this article about?

B:Soccer!

A: I imagined that! Your life turns about soccer!

B: Ha,ha,ha. Well, you know me a lot! And you know soccer is played by millions of people.Do
you know anything about soccer?

A: Not at all!

B: Are you serious? I can´t believe it! Listen: Players are not allowed to use their hands, except
the goalie. The ball is controlled by the feet, head, and body.

A: Are hands allowed to throw the ball?

B: No,never! It´s forbidden!

A: How often are the World Cup games held?

B: They are held every four years. The best teams in the world compete.
A: In The U.S, soccer is not as popular as in other countries.

B: Yes. American football is more popular.Heavy equipment is worn by players and the ball is
passed by the quarterback. And the ball carriers are tackled. They’re often injured in this rough
game.

A: Wow .You are incredible! How do you know it?

B: Thanks. Because I read Time magazine every month! Also, American football is televised. It
is watched by many people.

A: Yes, you are right!

B:By the way a soccer match is televised tonight! Would you like to watch it?

A:Oh Godness! Soccer again tonight ! No, thank you. I prefer cooking!
