Wolves of Deceit

Origins:
The Wolves of deceit originated from a small detachment of the Iron Hunters chapter
tasked with supporting the Space Wolves on a campaign in which the Commander
Dercis and his personal advisors were meant to lead their force into battle with the
Space Wolves for over 30 years. After this extended period of exposure to the tactics
and beliefs of the Space wolves, the Iron Hunters taskforce was sent to crush a
rebellion near the outskirts of Segementum Obscurus.

During this Campaign, Commander Dercis detachment fought along side the Mordian
Iron Guard. As the initial force to make planet fall on Faccex II, they used their own
interpretations of the Space Wolves Tactics and this triggered some sort of bloodlust
filled event. It was then that the Slaughter began as the rebels moved to intercept each
drop pod as they landed; these rebel units were then assaulted by Dercis’s squads who
were covered in blood and gore from the first units they encountered.

As these blood-covered marines slaughtered the traitors, the Lord of the traitors
started to beg for mercy, by sending pleas to the Iron Guard who were on route.
However even though the truce was called between the Traitors and Iron Guard there
was no way of telling the Iron Hunters who had become so full of blood lust and
vengeance they were unstoppable. Even as the traitors went to confront the Iron
Hunters commander a squad of marines pounced and slaughtered the commander as
well as his guards with their bare hands.

As is the case with traitor extermination missions such as this one there were several
inquisitors alongside the Iron Hunters. These men saw these events of the planetary
invasion and were outraged and disgusted. They then proceeded to get permission to
declare Commander Decris’s Force as traitors and to be killed on sight. When the
news reach Decris and his force they fled, however not all of the inquisitors wanted to
eradicate these marines as Inquisitor Argun went with them.

These forces fled the system; however they did not leave it unscathed. They shattered
several major planets throughout the system with orbital bombardments, they landed
on others just so they could slaughter and pillage and finally when these acts were
done they took thousands of prisoners, who they then proceeded to decapitate and
drink their blood, thus leaving nothing but thousands of dried up husks all over the
system.
The inquisitors’ who escorted them to this planet, later referred to them as akin to the
wolves of ancient Terra, seeking nothing but so misery and mayhem through out the
universe. And thus they earned the name Wolves of Deceit.
