Overview of Project
our goal is to make the highest performance unmanned aircraft that can possibly be built
by electric propulsion. Our v ision is to make air travel all electric and do away with polluting
jet fuels. Our aim to really push the envelope from the performance endpoint with electric
propulsion its about battery powered aircraft that can compete with and substitute for
conventional fuel aircraft. Our approach is very much similar to t esla (leading electric car
manufacturing company) is that if you want to make a compelling useful vehicle you need a
pretty big battery pack.
So eventually want to make self flying electric plane that would make jet fuel and pollution
from it obsolete. We are starting a small by building high powered drone and we named it
Aurus. We want to apply the same principle these drones to high performance aircraft.

How this idea strike in our mind

Some of our team members used to have drones for just fun. We realise that the drones
have flight time is under 30 minutes with cameras and other accessories which we found
quite insufficient for practical operations like search and rescue, fight fires, monitoring and
inspection etc. Meanwhile we read about tesla electric cars which help us to use the same
approach for drones and aircraft as tesla for cars. So our team plans to redesign drones.

Technical Details of Project

The problem is that with drone companies out there today with a flight time with cameras
is about 30 minutes what we able to do endurance of helicopter but with the convenience
and cost of drone. For the time being we completely rethinking drone design built the
battery in the shape of drones structure. Therefore, maximising flight time. The half of the
drones mass is made of battery cell and the entire battery structure is one battery pack.

Applications
Drones have become a valuable tool during emergencies, because they can be launched
within minutes to give situational awareness, helping in law enforcement, fight fires from

above or help search and rescue operations, even in delivering products. They are even
beginning to replace helicopters in some areas.
In india, there are very few police and fire municipalities have access to a helicopter. That's
partly because they are very costly to have and require large money for maintenance. A
drone can provide about half of the utility of a helicopter at less than 1 percent of the price.
It can even be useful than a helicopter, because a drone can fly lower and get in closer to
evaluate dangerous situations and that's a really big deal.

Challenges
In implementing our idea to as project we faced lots of difficulties such as
● First we got to place the battery cells efficiently in the shape of drone to get
maximise flight time.
● Second our estimated building cost for prototype is quite high so it is necessary for
us to minimise cost with best service and flight time.
● Third we got to design the aircraft and drone as light as possible to maximise its
performance.
