University of Perpetual Help System of Laguna opens its door 1976 Along with the
development of Student Personnel Services. Student Personnel Services basically are
‘student-centered’ services and programs provided by academic institutions through
their specialized units and systems designed to develop the total personality of
the students.
These services, in a great deal, are also directed and coordinated in assisting the
students to be well-attuned to the learning processes they have to undergo in
schools as these services essentially complement the academic programs.
Aware of their noble duty to develop the full potentials of the individual,
Universities implement comprehensive student services programs that are offered by
their various offices,
which are usually handled by the Student Affairs Offices. These Student Personnel
Services customarily cooperate with the students’ respective families and other
social institutions to assist
the students in attaining maximum self-realization and becoming effective and
valuable in their social environment. The distribution of the student handbook is
done to every newly hired faculty and enrolled students to keep them aware and
understand policies, rules, and regulations pertaining to the operation of the
College.

Objectives of the study

The main aim of the project is to produce a Mobile-Based Student Handbook using a
mobile phone to convert the hardcopy version of the handbook to android based which
will make it easier for the students to browse and read the content of the handbook
using their android devices, to encourage the students to read their handbook and
easily browse it. The main target of
the study is those new students that always forget to bring their handbook and lazy
to keep reading it.

The project aimed to evaluate android – based student handbook application in terms
of functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability and
portability using the Mobile based handbook.

The student handbook includes school policies and procedures, locations and
purposes of administrative offices, and other helpful details. All students and
their parents/guardians should re
view the student handbook carefully as its contents are binding on all students of
the school.

In the 21st century, making daily innovations in

software and hardware to facilitate the life process is the daily task
of the community. This innovation also goes beyond the education
field, various interventions were introduced by integrating
technology to enhance the understanding and motivating of
students in a subject. In view of this, we brought modernization
into the learning of Computational Thinking (CT) in the form of a
module that integrates mobile application development for the
motivation of students in CT. In this module, students are taught
to develop mobile applications using a visual programming
language. This approach can be a catalyst for enhancing the
motivation of students of the digital generation and the efficiency
of learning. In motivation measurement, we used the Motivated
Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ), which consists of
five domains of motivation, namely Intrinsic Goal, Extrinsic
Goal, Task Value, Learning Beliefs Control and Self- Efficacy.
This is divided into two groups, namely conventional and mobile
applications for control and treatment groups. In treatment group
consisted of 46 (51%) and the control group consisted of 45 (49%)
respondents. All respondents of this study are students, studying in
Institute A that offers similar courses which are Bachelor of
Business Administration degree in collaboration with two
different universities
