Water Usage and Agronomy Efficiency


a. Technological innovations for the utilization of water resources that are appropriate and efficient
b. Optimizing agricultural technology to increase agricultural productivity and local farmers' income
in creating sustainable agriculture
c. The strategic role of millennial generation through the application of science by creating modern
and appropriate technology based on Local Wisdom to create sustainable agriculture with
Appropriate Technology (AT)

Integrated Pest Management


a. Application of the use of Crop Agent Protection (CPA) which is efficient and environmentally
friendly
b. Utilization of local potential to be used as CPA material that is environmentally friendly and
sustainable
c. The use of low residual and efficient CPA for pest and disease management

Product Diversification
a. The use of tobacco plants as products other than cigarettes
b. Find innovations in agriculture, especially the use of processed tobacco
c. Find new business opportunities from processing tobacco
Administrative Requirements
a. Participants are registered as active (D1-D4 / S1) students in Indonesian collage and proven by
sending a scanned sheet of Student Identity Cards (SIC).
b. Participants are individuals or groups contained of a maximum of 2 people with 1 person as the
leader. Group members can come from different study programs but are still in the same college.
c. Scientific writing is the original work, not being contested elsewhere, and has never been
published.
d. Scientific writing can be in the form of creative ideas, observations, practicum results and others
as outlined in the form of scientific writing.
e. If it is proven that the work is not original, it has already been published, then the participant will
be disqualified.
f. Scientific writing that is not in accordance with the format and provisions will be disqualified.
g. Contestants who have been declared successful in entering the final must present their work in
front of the judges on the specified day.
h. Finalist presentation in the form of Microsoft Office Power Point.
i. Ten finalists who were declared to have passed were required to make posters.
j. The decision of the jury is final and cannot be contested.

Competition Selection
Full Paper Selection
The papers submitted by the participants will be selected by a jury and 10-best works will be selected
to present their work at the Final Call for Paper Competition TOBACCURE. Ten selected works must
make posters and will be displayed during the final event.

Final Shows
The final event of the TOBACCURE Call for Paper Competition will be attended by participants who
passed the 10-best works. Participants are expected to present their creative ideas kindly in front of
the judges.

Awarding Day
The award was given to 3 participants from the 10 best scientific papers that were presented at the
TOBACCURE Call for Paper Contest.
Registration Mechanism
a. Participants register themselves or the team by filling in the registration form which can be
downloaded on the http://bit.ly/RegistrationandGuidanceTobaccure2020 web. Registration
starts on January 6, 2019.
b. Participants send the full paper (word file) accompanied by an attachment to the registration form
and member KTM scans (word file) that are made into one file in the form of .rar. Full paper
(Indonesian and English) and registration form are filled and submit via
http://bit.ly/Tobaccure2020 with the subject of file uploaded TOBACCURE_Team Leader
Name_College_Sub Theme. The deadline for sending paper is February 15, 2020, at a maximum
of 23:59 WIB
c. After sending the full paper, participants are expected to confirm registration to number
081233799670 a.n. Dani Widjaya with the same subject format as sending full paper softcopy.

d. Ten Participants who passed were announced on February 26, 2020 then subsequently
resubmitted full papers, POSTERS and power points as presentation material. Full papers, posters
and power points are sent in Softcopy. Submission of full papers, posters and power points by the
committee at the latest on March 2, 2020 (during a technical meeting)
e. Technical meeting was held on March 2, 2020 at the Agronomy Centre - Balung Bintang Universal
Leaf Indonesia Office (Jl. Ambulu, No: 189, Balung, Jember Regency).
f. Ten participants who passed, gave a paper presentation on March 5, 2020 at Aston Hotel.
g. Finalists must present their work in front of the Jury as the determination of the Champion I, II,
III, Best Presentation and Best Poster on March 5, 2019.

Prizes and Awards
Prizes and awards given to the first winners amounted to Rp. 5,000,000, second place Rp. 3,000,000,
third winner 1,500,000, Best Presentation Rp. 750,000, and the Best Poster Rp.750,000. Ten
participants with the best paper will get certificates and goodie bags worth Rp. 250,000 per person.

Systematics of Writing Abstract


a. Typed in A4-sized paper with typing limits: 4 cm left side, 3 cm right side, 3 cm upper border, 3
cm lower border.
b. 250 to 500 words written in one paragraph.
c. The title of the paper in bold (bold) with the middle alignment (centre) and space after 12.
d. Under the author's name, type the origin of the school or educational institution of the author.
Between the name of the author and the origin of the agency is not given a distance.
e. Under the origin of the school or educational institution, given a distance of two times Enter.
f. Abstract is typed with alignment left-right (justified), not indented, and given space after 12.
g. Under the abstract, type alphabetically a minimum of three key words from the paper that was
raised. Keywords are typed in italics (italic) and preceded by the words "Keywords: 'which are bold
(bold) and italic (italic) and are marked with a colon (:) afterwards.

Systematics of Writing Full Paper


Beginning Section
1. Title Page
a. The title is typed in capital letters, it should be expressive, appropriate to the problem written
and not open to the need for double interpretation.
b. The author's name, NIM and year of class are clearly written.
c. The name of the college is clearly written (including the university logo).
2. Ratification Sheet
a. The validation sheet contains the title, author's name, and student ID number.
b. The validation sheet was signed by the group leader, the supervisor, and the vice dean for
student affairs.
c. The validation sheet is dated according to the validation date
3. Statement Sheet
The statement sheet of the authenticity of scientific papers and not plagiarism and attach a
Materai stamp Rp.6,000
4. Foreword from the author
5. Table of contents and other required list such as image list, table list, and attachment list.
6. Abstracts of writing a maximum of one page that reflects the content to scientific papers.

Core Section
1. Introduction
a. The formulation of the problem which includes a background on the reasons for raising the
problem is a paper and an explanation of the significance and interestingness of the problem
to be explored. Background should be supported by reliable information and or data;
b. A brief description of the problem identification or problem formulation;
c. The purpose of writing is clearly outlined;
d. The benefits of writing are clearly explained.
2. Literature Review Description of:
a. It is a conceptual framework containing limits, concepts, theories that support the writing
that can be obtained from research journals, books and others; and
b. A description that shows the theoretical basis and concepts relevant to the problem under
study.
3. Writing Method or Research Method
Writing is done following the correct method by carefully describing data collection techniques
and / or information, processing data and / or information, and thinking framework.
4. Results and Discussion
A description of the results of the study, findings, ideas for development in accordance with the
formulation of the problem and objectives.
5. Closing
Contains conclusions and recommendations.

1. Bibliography
a. References are written to provide information so that readers can easily find the sources
mentioned.
b. Writing a bibliography for books begins with writing the author's name, year of publication,
book title, publisher's name, and place of publication.
c. Writing a bibliography for the journal starts with the author's name, year, title of the article,
journal name, volume and page number. Writing a bibliography obtained from the internet
is written on the website address.
d. Writing obtained from print media is written by source, date and page.
2. Curriculum Vitae
The curriculum vitae of the participants includes full name, place of birth, organizational
experience, scientific work that has been made, and scientific awards that have been won.
3. Attachments (if needed)

Writing Requirements
a. Manuscripts written 15-25 pages. The number of pages does not include covers, pages of
endorsement, summaries, table of contents / pictures / tables and attachments).
b. The number of pages that are not in accordance with the provisions on the number of pages will
affect the rating.
c. Writing is an original idea or research made by participants and has never been or not being
included in similar competitions.
d. Paper written in two languages (Indonesian and English).

Technical Writing and Typing Instructions


1. Writing letters
The manuscript is typed on A4 size white HVS paper using the type and size of the letter "Times
New Roman 12".
2. Layout
Typing limit: 4 cm left side, 3 cm right side, upper and lower limit 3 cm.
3. Typing distance, chapters, sub-chapters and their details
a. Typing distance between Chapter and Sub-chapter 3 spaces, Sub-chapters and below 1.5
spaces.
b. Chapters and Titles Chapters are typed in the middle using large letters, in bold type, and
without underlining.
c. Sub-chapter titles are written from the left side, the first letter of each word is written in
capital letters, except assignment words, such as those from, and.
d. Sub-Sub chapter titles are written from the left side, the first letter of each capital letter
(capital letters), except for the assignment words, such as those from, and.
4. Typing Sentences
a. Beginning the paragraph typed protrudes 5 points or 1.25 cm.
b. Typing direct quotes that are more than 3 lines typed 1 space in and all without quotation
marks.
5. Page Numbering
a. The number at the beginning starts from the validation sheet until Little Roman Numerals
are used (i, ii, iii, iv and so on).
b. The core parts of the paper from the Introduction to the Closing Section use common
numerals (1, 2, 3 and so on).
c. All page numbers are written in the bottom centre.
