1. Outline

This procedure manual is explained about the procedure which downloads ringtone file simultaneously in
multiple DT800 series by DT800 maintenance tool.

1.1 Operational Outline

The procedure of simultaneous download of ringtone are roughly 3 steps.

(1) Preparations of the tool

The tool necessary to simultaneous download of ringtone is installed in maintenance tool PC and file
server.

(2) Preparations of the ringtone file

The ringtone file is chosen and changed to the format which can be downloaded at DT800 series.

(3) Search of the terminal and download simultaneously of ringtone
Search for DT800 series connected on the network.
The ringtone download order are sent to found terminals.
And the terminal downloads a ringtone from a file server.

 1.3.1 Necessary Equipment

Equipment Detail
PBX The main device which controls a terminal.

IP-PBX (SV9500, SV9300, and SV9100) has to be connected with a terminal on the identical

different from a procedure.

 1.4 Operational Flow

The procedure flow until it's downloaded from preparations of a maintenance tool is indicated below.
It's explained by the example for which a TFTP server (PumpKIN) is used as a file server.

2. Preparation of Tool

A procedure of preparations of a maintenance tool is indicated below.

2.1. Installation of Data Maintenance Tool

An installation procedure of "Data Maintenance Tool" is indicated below.

[Notice]
* Need to install this application with the administrator account.

[Procedure]
1: Execute a "Setup.bat" by the administrator account.

2: When "Maintenance Tool for DT800 Series - InstallShield Wizard" screen appears, follow the on-screen
instructions to install.

* If "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 Client" or "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)"
is not installed, the following screen appears during installation of Maintenance Tool.
Proceed with installation according to the instructions on the screen.

2.2. Installation of IP Phone Manager

An installation procedure of "IP Phone Manager" is indicated below.

[Notice]
* Need to install this application with the administrator account.

[Procedure]
1: Execute a "Setup.exe" by the administrator account.

2: When "IPPhoneManager - InstallShield Wizard" screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions to
install.

* If "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 Client" is not installed on the PC, the following screen appears during
installation of Maintenance Tool.
Proceed with installation according to the instructions on the screen.

2.3. Installation of TFTP Server

An installation procedure of "TFTP server (PumpKIN)" is indicated below.

Please work in the PC which run as a TFTP server.
When using the different file server, please advance towards "3. Preparation of Ringtone File".

[Procedure]
1: "PumpKIN" V2.7.3 For Windows TFTP server software is downloaded from following URL.
http://kin.klever.net/pumpkin/binaries

2: Execute a Downloaded "pumpkin-2.7.3.exe"

3: Change the installation destination by "Browse.." and click "OK".

4: Installation completion.

3. Preparation of Ringtone File

A procedure of preparations of a ringtone file is indicated below.

If there is a ringtone file optimized already,
Please advance towards "4. Simultaneous Download of Ringtone File".

3.1. Select of Ringtone File

Prepare a ringtone which meets the following format.

When the format doesn't meet the condition, it's to do the next clause "3.2. Optimization of Ringtone File"
and is changed to the format above-mentioned, and be able to use as a ringtone.
But, the file format possible to optimize is "Wave Sound (WAV format)".
Optimization is needed after it's changed to the WAV form for a change tool separately in case of the
different file format.
Playtime is 32 seconds or less, so it's recommended to cut sound down using an audio editor of "Audacity
(http://audacityteam.org/)" etc. and prepare sound suitable for a repeat within 32 seconds.

3.2. Optimization of Ringtone File

A ringtone file is optimized by the following procedure.

"Data maintenance tool" is used by this section.
Please refer to Data Maintenance Tool User's Guide for detail in how to use.

[Procedure]
1: Execute a "ToolManager.exe".

2: Click the [Ringer tone download] button on Tool Manager.

3: Select a download ringtone from a box of download type of the ringtone download window.

4: Click the folder icon. And select a ringtone file to download to the terminal.

5: Select the format of the voice file after the optimization.

The property information of the

selected voice file is displayed.

4. Simultaneous Download of Ringtone File

A procedure of simultaneous download of a ringtone with IP Phone Manager is indicated below.

When using these tools, a network and a fire wall have to be established right.
If can't normally communicate, please confirm to network administrator.

4.1. Setting of File Server

When using the different file server, please put a downloaded ringtone file in the root directory and advance
towards "4.2. Terminal Search and Download Order".

[Procedure]
1: Execute a "PumpKIN.exe".

2: Click [Options].

3: Select a directory of a ringtone file in [TFTP filesystem root]. And the check of Read Request Behavior is
changed to [Give all files]. And Click [OK].

4: Put a ringtone file in [TFTP filesystem root] set by the above. And change the file name.
* The file name of "Music Ring 1" is "Melody1.wav"
* The file name of "Music Ring 2" is "Melody2.wav"
* The file name of "Music Ring 3" is "Melody3.wav"

5: Setting of a TFTP server are completion. Please don't end PumpKIN until download is completed.

4.2. Terminal Search and Download Order

4.2.1 Start of IP Phone Manager

[Procedure]
1: Execute the "IPPhoneManager.exe".

2: When the following screen appears, select the network interface card to use and select "OK".
*[Select Interface] is displayed only at the time of the first time start.
Change setting from the "Interface" menu of the main screen.

3: Startup is completed when the following screen is displayed.

4.2.2 Search of Terminal

There is 3 kinds of terminal search method.

* When searching for the terminals in the identical segment, "Search" is used.
* When designating an IP address in the terminals in another segment and searching, "Direct" is used.
* When searching using the CSV file made in IP Phone Manager and PC Pro, "Import" is used.

(1) Search
1: Click [Search]

 2: Click "OK" on "Search Complete" screen.

(2) Direct
1: Click [Direct]. And Enter the IP address of the terminal and search.

Can also be used to search again for terminals added to the list on the main screen in advance.
If search again, select the terminal search again in the list, and press the "Direct" button.

(3) Import
1: Click [Direct]. And select the CSV file to import.
“Import” is used to import the registration information data (CSV file) output from the application software
"PC Pro" of the PBX SV9500/SV8500 and search the terminal.
Can also export the information collected by the IP Phone Manager and import the file to search for
terminals.

2: Click "Execute", the search is executed.

4.2.3 Connect to Terminal

IP Phone Manager is connected to a terminal for download by remote control.

1: Select the terminal in the list, and click the "Connect" button.

2: Select "Login" in "Connection Mode". And click "Execute".
When succeeding in a connection, Status becomes "OK".

3: If status in all terminals are "OK" on the screen, click "Close".

4.2.4 Ringtone Download

A ringtone file is downloaded in the terminal.

Confirm that a file server is connected beforehand and that a downloaded file is stocked in a pass of a file
server.

1: Select "Download" in the Command frame and click "Execute".

Below is an example. Setting it according to the environment.
(1) File Server choose "TFTP"
(2) Input IP Address of a file server.
(3) Download File Type choose "Input File Name"
(4) Input "Melody1.wav" to Filename.
* Select the file prepared by "4.1.Setting of File Server".
(5) Simultaneous Download choose "2".
* Simultaneous download number increases by choosing the bigger price
by the network environment, so it can be put into effect efficiently.
(6) Click "Select All" and choose all terminals.
(7) Click "Download".

 File Server
Configure File Server.
FTP/TFTP/HTTPS : Choose the transfer protocol from FTP/TFTP/HTTPS.
IP Address/FQDN : Choose the File Server's address type from IP Address/FQDN.
IP Address : Enter the Server's IP address.
FQDN : Enter the Server's FQDN address. The maximum number of characters is 127.
User : Enter the user name of the account set for File Server.
The maximum number of characters is 64. Not used for TFTP.
Password : Enter the password for the account set for File Server.
The maximum number of characters is 64. Not used for TFTP.
Directory : Enter the relative directry path corresponding to the default directory set for File
Server. The maximum number of characters is 64.
Example: If the default directory set for File Server is "C:/Inetpub/ftproot" and place the
file in "C:/Inetpub/ftproot/data", enter "/data" in the directory field . ( "/" is may or
may not input in this case.)

 Download Option
i.Download File Type
Select the file type to download.
・Input File Name : The other Use to enter a file name.

ii.File Name
Enter the file name to download.
・Input File Name : Select Input File name and enter the file name in the table below

iii.Simultaneous Download
At the same time, set the number of terminals to instruct downloading. The range that can be set is
from "1" to "8".

Select the "No reservation(Send Once, Immediately)".

  IPPhone Information
Can narrow down the terminals by entering the following information and clicking the "Search" button.
Type : By selecting the terminal name registered in advance, can set H/W ver.
Can register additional terminals.
H/W ver : Narrow down the terminals from the Hardware version.
Firmware Version : Narrow down the terminals from the firmware version.
Find compares the entered firmware versions and narrows down.
NEC-SIP to Std-SIP : Change the firmware from the DT800/DT700 terminal to the Standard SIP
terminal.
Std-SIP to NEC-SIP : Change the firmware from the Standard SIP terminal to the DT800/DT700
terminal.
* "NEC-SIP to Std-SIP" and "Std-SIP to NEC-SIP" are supported by IPPhone Manager Ver 4.0.0 or later.

3: When "File Download" screen was displayed, click the "Execute" button.

2 downloads are started in the order of the youngest IP Address. For terminals that have started
downloading, the status will be "Downloading" and the other terminals will be "Waiting".
After a while Status will change from "Downloading" to "Saving", the status of the terminal "Waiting" will be
"Downloading". Since "Simultaneous Download" setting is "2", two terminals are always "Downloading".
When the download is completed, Status becomes "Complete", and the terminal automatically resets after
5 seconds.
"Downloading", "Saving", "Complete" at the bottom of the screen displays the current progress status as a
percentage.

4: When all download finished, the result is displayed. Click "OK", and it’s completion.

5. Check of Ringtone

5.1. Playback of Ringtone

Confirm the ringtone downloaded in the terminal.

1: Press [menu] button of the terminal.
2: Press [Setting] -> [User Setting] -> [Incoming Call]
-> [Ring Tone] -> [External Call] or [Internal Call].
3: Move a cursor to the downloaded ringtone.
