Instruction for system upgrade tool 4.0
This Upgrade Document Describes:

 Install PC based “System Update Tool 4.0” Software
 How to run this program to upgrade Beneview, iPM and Beneheart.
Applicable system:
 Beneview T5, T5 standard, T6, T8

 iPM-9800
 Beneheart D6
Tools required:
 Computer with Windows 2000/XP, and network adapter
 A Ethernet Hub or Router (D-link DES-1016D is recommended)
 Two standard patch network cables
What you have received:

 A Mindray data CD or compressed files sent by email ,containing:
-PC-based software: “System Update Tool”
-Upgrade package:
1 Install PC-based software “System Update Tool 4.0.exe”

1.1 Insert Mindray data CD into your computer (or unzip compressed files to your hard disk.)
1.2 Browse CD ,double click the “System Update tool 4.0.exe”
1.3 Select the language for installation.

1.4 Input the password “26582640”
1.5 Click the finish to complete the installation

1.6 Then you can find the below icon on the desktop.
2 Set PC IP address
2.1 Connect the computer, patient monitor (from the network port) to the Hub/Router with standard patch network
cables.
For T5, the net port is the icon in red as shown below:
For Beneheart D6, the net port is shown below:

2.2 Set the IP address of the computer to “ 77.77.1.13” and subnet mask to “255.255.255.0” as below:
Note: Disable the Wireless function if you have in your laptop.

Note: During the upgrading, we strongly recommend to use AC power. And please ensure the AC power is
always uninterrupted or may cause the death of CPU board.

3 Upgrade software
3.1 Double-click the “SystemUpdateTool 4.0” icon on the computer desktop to run it.
3.2 Select Machine to “BeneView” if you upgrade T5/T6/T8.
Select “BeneHeart” if you upgrade D6.
Select “iPM” if you upgrade iPM-9800.
3.3 Click “select package”. When the dialog box pop up, press browse button “>>>” to select the target file you
want to upgrade. Click “OK” to confirm the configuration, and then click “Start ”button on the left-top area.

If your machine is D6, please go to the part “For Beneheart D6”. If your machine is others model, go to the below
part.
For T5, T5 standard, T6, T8 and iPM-9800,

a) Power off the monitor, and then press Power button and Alarm silence button simultaneously for several
seconds; the monitor will display the messages:
“Searching for sever………succeed.”
“Allocating IP address……Succeed.”
b) After these messages displayed in the monitor screen, release those two buttons.
c) Wait for a few minutes till you can see “update successfully” information both on the PC and the monitor
screen.
d) Hold the power button for few seconds to turn off the monitor.
For Beneheart D6,
a) Shut down the monitor, then press Menu button and Summary button at the
same time; hold on it, and then turn [Mode Select switch] to choose MONITOR mode to start D6. After
you can see „Searching for server…succeed‟ in the monitor screen, then you can release the two buttons.

b) Wait for a few minutes till you can see “update successfully” information both on the PC screen and the
monitor screen.
c) Turn off the D6 after upgrade.
3.4 Click the “stop” button on PC. For the target file you selected, software upgrade is finished.
The solutions for problems about network-connecting between monitor and

downloading server (PC and notebook PC)
1. Before upgrade, please check whether the network wire used is the cross wire (connecting between the PC and
monitor) and whether it is available.
2. If the network or downloading fails, please “disable” the “Area local connection” of PC or notebook PC and
then restart it to make PC refreshing the network configuration.
