1. Cite evidences that would show the relevance of learning activities to

lesson’s objectives.

On this week I discussed about the literary genres; drama, poetry,

prose, non-fiction and media. So first I discussed about prose and poetry,
the objectives of this topic is to define what is poetry and prose, appreciate
the importance of prose and poetry in daily life living and create a poem and
perform observing the prose. In my motivation I did a jumble words after
that the discussion giving examples and I let the students Identify the
examples of prose and poetry. On my application what I did is I divide the
class into four groups, the group one and two will create a poem observing
the structure of it, the group three and four they perform the story that I gave
to them. On my observation on the following days because I also discussed
what is drama they really like to perform. Even though the time to practice
is not enough they still make a worth it performances. They really like acting
and when creating also a poem they can relate because they write a poem
about love so they create their own. Sometimes I forgot the time because
of their performances so my cooperating teacher will remind me if it’s
already time. They are very active to participate and I am glad that they
enjoy on the activities that I gave to them.
On my grade 7 students I discussed the exposition, on the activities
I gave first the example of exposition and I also discussed how to write
exposition after that I let them create their own exposition text. The next
topic was imperatives on my motivation I saw how they don’t want to make
mistake because of consequences. I have three colors the color yellow they
need to raise their hand, the color red they will remain to their sit, the color

green they will stand. After a minute I gave twist to the instructions. After I
discussed the imperatives and its uses I divided the class into four groups,
the group one and three they will draw the signs, the group two and four I
gave a script observing the imperatives and they will use it to act.
So my learning activities are relevant to my lesson objectives
because of the result of my students.

2. What verbal and non-verbal communication skills do you apply to make your
teaching effective?

Well, for verbal communication skills, I always try to enunciate and

pronounce words clearly whenever I speak English in front of my students
because I learned that it’s the right way to teach pronunciation. On the other
hand, for non-verbal communication skills, I always try to stand firmly with
good posture and body language to show them the right way to present
yourself formally. Those are good ways to teach communication skills, I
guess.

3. To what extent are your learning outcomes achieved? How do you know?
What are the indicators?

My learning outcomes are achieved to the extent that my students even ask
me or talks about my lesson outside my class and it’s very accomplishing
to me as a practicing teacher. There is that one time my student confessed
to me that he showed his notebook about my lesson to his mom and even
talked about the way I taught them. His mom was an English Teacher. All I
heard was appreciation and good words. It’s flattering knowing that his mom
haven’t even seen me teaching.
